While watching his new video about the Trump phone finally “shipping” I noticed the phone looked really familiar. Its just the HTC U24 dipped in gold lmao
About 5 months ago, I submitted roughly $25k worth of cards to Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) through an official drop-off submission.
Months later, I discovered my exact cards being sold publicly on eBay.
I identified them through photos, videos, and documentation I had saved before submission, and filed a police report.
Through extreme diligence, law enforcement detectives from MA and CA have since recovered some of the cards from the eBay seller’s residence, which was very close to PSA headquarters.
According to the seller, the cards were allegedly donated by PSA to a children’s hospital charity event.
The story later changed:
So let that sink in:
Cards entrusted to PSA:
You almost have to laugh when you read this, because it sounds like a comedy. But PSA’s own statement to law enforcement seems to corroborate this charity event free-for-all.
Meanwhile, I spent FIVE MONTHS trying to get answers for an order I didn’t receive that should have been returned to me in January.
PSA has lately discussed compensating me up to declared value of the remaining missing cards and requiring an NDA/release agreement as part of any settlement. They have recently offered upgraded grading vouchers for the missing cards (the two that I had law enforcement return to me, as well as the others, “if they are recovered”). They have acquiesced to not making me buy my own cards back, if they are in fact later discovered.
At this point, this feels way beyond a simple “lost package” or “oopsie.” This seems like wanton disregard affecting many of us in the hobby community, with little or no accountability by PSA for their chain of custody, control checks, and egregious security failures. Imagine how well their “QC Checks” on our graded cards are handled, when they have failed to even recognize the difference between slabbed PSA cards that were supposed to be on a donation table**, and my expensive** raw cards which had been submitted for Express grading**.**
So I want to ask you as collectors:
Is this acceptable? Would you:
For me as a collector**, this isn’t just business, it’s not about the dollar. This is about particular irreplaceable cards that we pursue and value as collectors.. not about flipping to make a quick buck.**
I have used PSA for years and like a lot of collectors, I trusted PSA because of what they claim to stand for: a hallmark of value, excellence, security, and integrity. A vault of safety around some of your most precious investments. Objects that you’ve scoured for, spent days scrolling to find, spent countless hours earning money to achieve, and then examining them all with microscope and microfiber to assess whether they will merit a grade worthy of a slab.
I am still consulting counsel and trying to figure out the best path forward. I am also still diligently trying to find my other missing cards. I'm attaching pics of two here, in hopes that the community can help me find.
If anyone can offer any helpful feedback, suggest the best place to post, & strategy to get my remaining cards back, I would really appreciate it!
