Just finished putting this one together. It's another custom paint job with custom keys. Started life as a medical keyboard.

Not sure if this is my favorite new one or not.

This is a unicomp model m 122 key. Adding some SSK blue for the time being. Not sure if I'm going to stick with the light gray or I'm going to move to Pearl or Pebble in the near future.

I bought a 2013 Endura Pro for $30, it was listed as fully functional but when it arrived some of the keys didn't work; I assume that this happened during shipping. Besides trying to reseat the keys with the springs and cleaning it with compressed air, which I've already tried, what else can I do? I don't care enough to spend the $100 (since it has an integrated pointer) to get it repaired by Unicomp.

Long story short, in addition to my 2 Model M122s with buckling springs, I now own a rubber dome "Quiet Touch" M122. I'm pretty much inclined to say that the feel is not for me. I don't know that it's bad, but I mostly use buckling spring and don't think I'll plan to use this board. I am, however, considering harvesting for parts. Seems the membrane may be compatible with other M122s, but can anyone confirm? I've got a couple of dead keys in one of my other M122s so am thinking if possible to swap the membrane over.

I'm somewhat intrigued by the idea of having this as a quiet board to use at work, but I'm afraid it's actually still pretty noisy too, and I'm not sure if there's a better way to get a good membrane for my other board (repair maybe?). At the same time, I don't love the idea of taking this board apart entirely, since it still has 90% or more of its original rivets in place.

Any thoughts or ideas? Does anyone have interest in boards like this?

Hey all, I've been enjoying my new Unicomp repro for the past few months, and decided to buy an old M to clean/restore/play with.

After studying Shark's site at length, I settled on a Gen 1 1986 Model M (1390120) with silver top right square logo, and would like to know the most straightforward method of adapting the DIN connector to USB. Is there one solution that is "best"? Thanks!

I have an old membrane Unicomp with no use for it other than maybe spare parts, a guy needs both the top and bottom case, but I only have an original top case and an Unicomp bottom case, are they compatible with each other?
Will the internals of an orignal IBM model M122 fit inside the bottom case?

Pictured the Unicomp case and internals.

Tried to post this one last night I guess I forgot the images. This is also a former Unicomp medical keyboard. It's light gray although it looks slightly khaki in the photo.

2nd one that I put together today. Let paint cure for a few days before polish and sealant.

Was a Medical Model M, GE branded

Unprinted pearl/pebble keycaps from model f keyboards.

May need a new number lock sticker. Tried to reuse the original.
