Hi all
Ive got a few parts with undercut pockets ive been down the road with engineering on how to eliminate them but they need to be the way they are. I have a UMC 750 so i can make the undercut or so i thought. Im using the multi axis pocket tool-path in MC2026. I can get a good tool-path for the pocket however it insists on commanding a b axis move of over 120 which is the limit on the machine. Ive tried to use the tool axis limits but those cause the b axis to position on the negative side of travel which only has 30 or 35 degrees of travel.
Unfortunately i cant share anything due to company policy. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to limit the tool-path from over traveling the b axis? I know this isnt a ton of info to go off of but any help would be appreciated.
