Maine dekha ki Rajasthan ke bahut saare districts ki apni koi active Reddit community nahi hai. Alag-alag chhote groups mein bhatakne se achha hai ki hum sab ek jagah judein. Isiliye humne r/marwadii banaya hai—taki poora Rajasthan ek saath ek hi jagah connect ho sake.

Main Sirohi thi hu naam hai Sid!
maro ghar bhi Sirohi district mei. Aadha saal Kota mein reyu (garmi aave toh Sirohi bhaj jaayu, thand pade toh bhi wapas).

Ab school full khatam ho gyo last month! Toh ek saal ke liye sirohi jaa ryo hu, partial dropper ban ke padhunga.

PCMB kiya school mein, par ab mann game development aur UI/UX engineering mei lag riya hai. Coding karke games banana bahut maza aave!

Hobbies: Cardboard games khelu football dekhvu, anime fodvu, aur time mile toh coding karvu.

Har baar barbar shop jaane se pehle sochta hu full confidence me jaake bolunga, bhiya baal thode lambe rakhne hai. But waha jaane se hi ek dum sannata, dukh Raha hai ki baal thode zayda kaate jaa rahe hai but roka hi nahi jaata. And at the last pese deke bahar aa jaata hu y sochte hue ki, koi na Ghar ki kheti hai 10-15 din m theek ho jayegi.

So I was out i guess the day before yesterday near Kesar Circle, Jaipur and there was a liquor shop there A dusty storm started so I had to stop there for shelter It was after 9:30 so the liquor shop was already closed but people were still buying stuff from under the shutter Suddenly a police jeep pulled up and everyone started running here and there Then one policeman got down knocked on the shutter and said something in what I think was Marwadi since I'm not from Rajasthan so i couldn't understand then the guy inside handed him two 180 ml bottles Then the cop in a totally chill and joking way said "ek half dede" The guy inside just knocked the shutter three times and that was it Then the policeman looked at me and laughed like he had just achieved something big and I was just standing there thinking what the hell is even going

I went to a Marwadi wedding today—it was incredibly grand and lavish, no doubt about that. But honestly, some of the mindset really threw me off.

Since I got my period, I was told to stay away from the mandap, not touch the bride’s chunari, her gifts, even her footwear—and basically not go near her at all. This is my best friend, by the way. She didn’t even invite me to her haldi for the same reason.

I just don’t understand it. There’s so much wealth and extravagance, but then thinking like this? It felt really uncomfortable—like I was being treated as if I was untouchable.

And the strangest part is, people say this is “normal.” I genuinely don’t get how. It’s 2026, but for a moment, it felt like I’d gone decades back in time.
