I understand it now, its ain't just a story it peak and a journey that all reader have to follow.i have watched the adaptation and thought it's peak. Never understood why people hated the adaptation until now. Man they have adaptation the manga properly.

Manga is way more violent, unsensored and peak

Can't wait to buy and read the next volume but gotta wait saving 2.7k is gonna take lot of time.

Before you go talking again about maturity, read me out.

You guys just glaze world-building so much that it has become porn.

"Klein smiled in a twisted way." "Humans are pigs because they eat and the only thing that exists is..." What the hell is this?!

I love narration; it is an essential part of literature that the plot be clear so the reader doesn't get too vague or lost figuring out what happened. NOVELS and your beloved manga excel at this. What’s shocking is the amount of people who don't actually want to feel for themselves what characters are going through. Instead, you're happy being spoon-fed words like "sad," "twisted," "happy," or "figured out."

You all think it’s peak as soon as a manga pulls out a large philosophical cutout in the middle of a chapter. But did you actually feel the philosophy?

People go on ranting about development, internal conflicts, and shit like that. What the hell? You just watched a documentary, that’s all. While telling is sometimes good, especially in historical takes like LOGH or stuff with a weird satire like Gintama, world-building is incredibly overrated. Instead of making you feel a new emotion using words as mundane as possible, an author just drops some new shit from Shakespeare’s ballsack and people clap.

What I am trying to say is: this is not what is supposed to be peak.

One work tells you that the MC is lonely; another work shows you that the MC is lonely. Which one do you think is worth being loved? It’s okay if you love the easy slope, but leveling up is desperately needed.

And if you tell me that Show, Don’t Tell can’t be achieved? Look at Urasawa. Did he ever drop a philosophical bomb like Reverend Insanity? Just eight chapters of Pluto, and not even once were its heavy philosophical themes told to you. While telling sometimes works when you need to avoid making the plot too slow, the things people call peak just fuck it up. Look at mangakas like Tezuka, or even Fujimoto.

You haven’t even touched the tip of the iceberg yet.

I remember a one-shot manga where the narrator used words like "mad," "ego," "sad," "staring," and "depressed" the entire time, only for the reader to realize that the telling was actually there to show the twisted psyche of the MC. Short stories and Western literature have Show, Don't Tell mastered. Look at Kafka, chekov, macabre king Edgar Alan poe and so much more.

Picasso and Van Gogh never wrote a guide under their paintings telling you what you should feel. You just look at them and feel that ecstasy naturally.

That how to tell is also the reason why Bleach is hated among the Big Three. People say it has no emotion. Lube your brains. One Piece is loved because its storytelling is easy to understand. Even though Bleach is far from perfect in showing and not telling, it is still better than the other two in that regard.

I’m not saying I only watch elite seinen or Western slop; I watch anime and read manga like these ones, too. Sometimes I even prefer telling over showing. But look at Mushishi, Texhnolyze, Midori, Monster, Haibane Renmei, and holy shit, Cowboy Bebop.

This is what is supposed to be peak.

Absolutely in love with Berserk, The Walking Dead and Harrow County. You can tell that I’m a big fan of horror and gore lol ;)

I aim to complete Berserk the end of the year. Also looking for suggestions of great graphic novels or deluxe comics. I wish Gantz had a hardcover tbh.
