The state of the pvp meta at this point.

Technically Hazuki Rena doesn't need Fuka, meaning you can still beat Fuka teams without needing a single limited. But the version with Fuka is faster than normal Hazuki Rena.

First and last time I’ll ever spend money on this game

The video recording cut off in the end but i didn’t get Joan at a2

I got the key an I got sayaka again and at A6 no less

I know it’s a gacha game where there isn’t a guarantee that you’ll ever get the kiokou you want but it’s still kind of sad that i didn’t even get her on the payed banner

I watched razlims video where he said that apperantly in the key pull of the payed banner you are guaranteed to get the kiokou, then I realized that video was about kanagi and that this was implemented after kanagi was implemented so yeah…I’m dumb

Any who I’m still happy I have her at a1, she’s my first good light attacker and genuinely believe she puts Madokami to shame, just hope I can somehow scratch together some gems to atleast get her to a2 so I can beat exedra crisis extra mode

Now that I think about it I have NO limited kiokou (Halloween Mami, devil Homura, Santa sayaka and fuka) that is above a1 so I must be cursed somehow

The new purchasable backgrounds don't show up on my phone, so have a Nagisa staring at you from the dark

Let's not forget of the "birthday" of Kyoko

I want this day, be the official birthday of her, even between fans. So if you have fanart of her post it celebrating her bday!

D-did Karin just fumble the heart Kanagi was trying to make?

That’s actually funny. I honestly think Kanagi is a way better fit for Karin than Alina.

Livestream Summary

Fair warning, I might not make it. I have an event that ends one hour before, but I've been scammed by another event being one hour instead of 20 minutes

2nd Arc Kioku

Any idea if the puella care members will be released if Magia Record Arc 2 gets added? Just before I pull on any new Kioku

Crisis mode isn't unfair and I'm tired of everyone pretending it is. Y'all aren't engaging it for what it is and are coming at the game from misconceptions.

For the TLDR Crisis mode is consistently showing people what they are lacking, that 3 and 4 stars are still worth investing in, that there is a steady stream of difficult endgame content that encourages to pull and show you what you are lacking and thus what to pull for and even provides endgame content for people that pull all the time.

The closest thing to it being unfair is stop existing. Seriously think of a better AA nerf, Devs. Moemura is still the best buffer for nonlimited units just because SP generation and speed buffing is important and the devs decided that making characters like delayers and breakers and attackers AAing unusable was a trade to make 4 buffers less dominant. Just nerfing AA buffs from battle skills and magic systems would've done the trick. (Better yet nerf ascended buffers since they are the broken ones not AA in general, for instance disable SP gain from a special or magic system you can even divide these types of nerfs rather than viewing a hammer nerf as a good idea) Like an A4 Rena should be more way more usable but for some reason she isn't because she cant use her action gimmicks that offset her being limited to being single target because the devs thought that was an appropriate way to nerf mami, mabs, hauzki4star and moe.

What people say Crisis difficulties are and what they actually is are two different things. For example Raz says the later difficulties are tests of skill and being allowed to use a whales content to beat it undermines the point.

https://www.reddit.com/r/magiaexedra/comments/1t4rjfk/comment/ok5g4b7/?context=3&utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I disagree with Raz that it is to test your skills and being allowed to be carried one unit undermines because what Crisis actually test is your ability to use your accessible resources. The difficulty slider simply assumes a higher amount of tools the more you ascend it. Removing the whales stuff helps the later difficulties because now it tests you entirely on what you can do with what you have and where as borrowing a whale's things tests you on what you can do assuming the resources are accessible. Borrowing a whales things or assuming the later difficulties are for those who pulled alot allows these assumptions to be valid.

Others say you need to pull limiteds to get past the later difficulties. Raz has beaten the difficulty after very hard with no limiteds except Kyoko as a support so I cant see why you cant with 2 teams of pure nonlimiteds.

https://youtu.be/YXASvVkvLgc?si=MLhBeT0ElI2O1lie

And to further prove my point Darkstar has beaten it with no Limiteds though in 3 teams

https://www.reddit.com/r/magiaexedra/comments/1t3srw2/3team_extra_clear_with_no_limited_units/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Being able to borrow someone elses content isn't there to let you get by with less skill it is to allow you to access more endgame content because crisis is endgame content and to encourage you to try to get the endgame stuff you would borrow yourself. As well as let you test what you are really lacking.

Take this post for example:

"this crisis is straight bs. They made the boss based off of crit rate, then proceeded to nerf ALL the standard banner units so you HAVE to use Kimono Madoka or Santa Sayaka to get shit done. A2 tsuruno would be FINE, but she's out of element so she's gonna die immediately.

I dont care if this mode is supposed to be difficult and requires accessions. I don't care about nerfing moemura and mabuyu as much. but anyone without these two lims have NO chance of beating anything past very hard, and have no chance in the rankings. which is complete bs"

Notice this person is expecting an off element crit buffer to be fine. Notice that others have been using a 4 star crit buffer just fine understanding they'll need to use multiple teams because they don't have everything they'd like

https://www.reddit.com/r/magiaexedra/comments/1t30pjt/extra_difficulty_on_crisis_season_2_is_clear/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

What Crisis does

Gives more use out of traditionally overlooked units a purpose even if it is purely to be a redundancy. The amount of people that go I had to upgrade a 4 star or below because I wasn't able to get past the previous difficulty barrier is astounding because they seem to think it is bad that devs are making it abundantly clear that just because they aren't 5 stars doesn't mean that they aren't worth investing (see investing in them let them break a difficulty barrier). People are treating it as though making as many units viable is a bad thing. Like Stop is a bad thing because it made less units viable and it removed core mechanics to an array of characters that were balanced around those mechanics being at least usable. People have gone from defending stop because it removes the viability of the 4 most broken units at the cost of making a bunch of entirely indefensible nerfs to complaining that making it so difficult people have to use previously unviable units is a bad thing and I genuinely for the life of me do not understand it. What is worse is that stop while still allows the character to be broken as stop is able to be ignored to justify making debuff resist builds viable and now the characters (rather than builds) that are really nerfed are the characters that didn't revolve around using how busted AA was to make using those builds worth it like Rena, Mifuyu, Christmas Ren, AA attackers(okay nerfing Akuma is fine but did they need to nerf 4 stars), or Action Delayers who have never warranted any nerfs. The actual problem with Crisis is they didn't add extra opportunity for coins to upgrade your units faster because that is what makes it feel like investing in a 3 or 4 star is a bad idea and why I think the devs should let people get more crisis coins to buy upgrade mats. Like not building up your weak roles is something you do only till you haven't maxed out the grinding levels for QP. Once you have the grinds unlocked you upgrade to fulfill content as it is released or to use a character you really wanted to (Seriously people your 4 stars don't suck they are niche and some 3 stars are niche as well). The actual role of those units is to provide niche roles when you are short on usable 5 stars that the devs can expect you to have access to them meaning they can consistently fulfill niches. See you may now need to double up on a role because this requires throwing more power than traditional teams. This making 4 and 3 stars more useful needed is a plus not a bad thing. Especially since a lot of people want a wave of 3/4 stars fully understanding they are gonna be relatively shitty just so that there is more development opportunity for characters and gameplay. People going in treating having to view using these characters sometimes is a bad thing especially them actually being usable helps prevent bricking an account and makes wasting orbs not that big of a deal.

Another thing it does is show you want you are lacking. This is most obvious in how in the middle difficulties for people that haven't pulled enough are allowed you to borrow things you don't have whatsoever including broken limited units that can completely carry you. Also if you are needing a 4 star you probably need a stronger 5 star of that 4 star. This means you now know what crisis medal or selector to use or if a limited is really worth it gameplay wise to pull for them.

See before this I knew I was lacking high ascended attackers but now I realize I actually want Sakura more than I want Oriko ascensions or Yachiyo ascensions (see Yachiyo is at a3 and I now want any Sakura ascenscion I can get). Something I wouldn't know if the only A4 attacker I was getting were the attackers I really had access to through the gacha because I never had such a good reason to use her or access her. See people likely wouldn't have built their low ascended units that had no purpose that wasn't already sufficiently fulfilled.

or look at this instance

https://www.reddit.com/r/magiaexedra/comments/1t6hfmg/i_hate_this_crisis_beyond_words/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

And his team (ignore the very obvious problems like him borrowing a low ascended limited to fix his weak toolkit)

https://www.reddit.com/r/magiaexedra/comments/1t6hfmg/comment/okht72u/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

You find out just looking at his team the issue isn't a lack of limiteds. It is an astounding lack of multitarget support. his highest multitargeter is an a3 and even worse it is just an attacker this person needs to pull more multitargeting options. If he is looking out for a limited (this dude really just needs to pull) and look for multitarget attackers breakers or a busted buffer since to really boost his capabilities where this is possible they only needed a low ascended buffer. Imagine how much more enjoyable the experience would be if he didn't even need a buffer and could fulfill whatever he was lacking elsewhere like an a5 attacker or breaker after their next pull.

https://www.reddit.com/r/magiaexedra/comments/1t6hfmg/comment/okhkpup/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

What I find even stranger is the person started complaining about how they had to start buffing because their lineup is weak despite the fact this challenge made previously not worth using characters viable (it is important to note the issue was a lack of supplies not them suddenly becoming worth investing in and this should have like extra days or skips soley to make upgrading easier)

It also gives units a time to shine to show they are worth pulling for or investing if you overlooked them as you only need the limiteds for most ease of use, not to make the most of the season.

The difficulties actually are endgame content designed to give challenging playable content for each stage of pulling. It is very obvious that the lategame content for people that pull alot designed for people that maxed their pulls out will require ascended or limiteds for the best ease of use. The later difficulties are those levels for people that leveled up their stuff to max and want content designed to challenge them. If you've ever played an rpg you got to the point where have too many options to fight opponents and now encounters are trivial that is the game design problem those difficulties are for. Expecting every difficulty to be immediately beatable with whatever hand is dealt is extremely limiting gameplay wise.

The lower difficulties are there to test your skills when you don't have enough content to truly appreciate the resources you could have. The later difficulties are to push people at endgame when they have a ton of resources.

The exedra pvp situation is insane

A2 Fuka really hits different.

Before Fuka i probably wouldn't have been able to even touch a team like this. Usually ascended mabayu, moemura and mami kills everything no matter what, but now a2 Fuka is so strong even attackers actually become viable.

Wonder how long till they nerf her for pvp. the first turn instant break really is just ridiculous. And the fact the she's limited adds another layer of ridiculousness that only a new unit can probably match.

Honestly she makes pvp so unserious than it already was before, and maybe that fact maybe is a good thing.

Is this a good team, chat?

A neat little shrine made for OUR, yes, OUR Lady Homura, with a Madoka slapped in the middle (because there's no fifth Homura unit yet).

Possible future four stars

I was going through the heartphials section and I noticed some characters only have one kioku instead of the usual two for low stars. I assume characters like Meiyui and Konoha will be five Stars but I have a feeling Kako and Natsuki will be four stars. I hope they do something interesting for Kako since Kaede is an unbeatable grass healer.
