Is there any government hospital labs in Ludhiana which provides blood tests like lipid profile and sugar tests like Hb1ac etc at minimum prices. If someone can suggest me some labs and also prices would be very thankful .

I’m looking for driving school recommendations for my mom. She’s 60. She has had this lifelong dream to learn how to drive and I believe its never too late. I learnt how to drive in 2008 from a Maruti Suzuki affiliated driving school in Aggar Nagar and I think it no longer exists. They had a simulator back then, maybe they also provided a rules book that I feel was very useful before stepping into a real car. Where do people go these days to learn how to drive in a comprehensive fashion?

OK, maybe it’s just me who sees it this way, but what hell is happening in Ludhiana gyms? It’s as if every gym has become an orgy of wannabe celebs trying to step into becoming Instagram influencers (and failing terribly). Nobody is actually selling transformations and results of clients (what a gym is supposed to be). All the expensive gyms of the city like Dkarve, Rudra, PowerHouse, and similar are just becoming a spot for aesthetic ke xhoda who go to the gym to build an IG following or some shit.
I’ve been trying out gyms for the past month, and honestly, most of them are a waste of money. Just walk into a gym, and you’ll see TikTokiye dancing in front of a tripod. I believe Dkarve is selling this influencer program….FFS. I also know a friend whose girlfriend is quite popular in the city, with around 50Kish followers. I saw her at Rudra, and apparently, she got a free membership just to make videos and tag the gym on Instagram. I swear if tripods enter your gym, change gyms.
I suppose the most frustrating aspect for me is our city’s future. Have we lost sight of the original purpose of gyms? Aren’t they supposed to be places where individuals can work on their physical well-being and develop healthy habits? Why am I constantly preoccupied with these influencers in the gym, worrying about my attire and fearing that I’ll end up sitting behind them in a reel? Is it possible to enter a gym, put on my headphones, and work out without encountering these annoying people?

1. Do I need CLU (Change of Land Use) even if the Master Plan already shows it as industrial zone? Or does the Master Plan designation itself allow construction?

2. What is the step-by-step process — number wise — from today until I can legally start construction? Which offices, in which order?

3. Where exactly do I apply — PUDA, LPA, Improvement Trust, MC Ludhiana, or GLADA? Who has jurisdiction over my area?

4. What are the setback requirements for an industrial shed on a 16.5 feet road? Front, sides, rear?

5. What should the height of the shed be? Is there a minimum or maximum as per Punjab building bylaws or industrial norms? (Thinking RCC or pre-engineered — what works better for rental?)

6. Do I need special permission or a different category of electricity connection for an industrial shed? Or can I get a commercial/industrial PSPCL connection directly once construction is done?

7. What is the realistic legal money involved?

— CLU fees (if applicable)

— Building plan approval fees

— Government charges, stamp duty, conversion charges

8. What is the realistic "other" money involved at each step? (Be honest — I'm not here to file a complaint, just need to budget and plan properly.)
