Why are there so many lightly used Emiras for sale?

Many under 3000 miles…

How many has sold in total? Can’t be that high.. yet there are many Emiras already on the used market.

Why?

I am considering between Boxster gts 4.0 and Emira

New Emira V6 hit a deer (no visible damage) but now won’t start. Diagnostic tool won’t connect. Any ideas?

I took delivery of my Magma Red Emira V6 two weeks ago. Literally two hours after picking it up, a deer jumped out in front of me while I was going about 50 mph (80 km/h) and I hit it.

We immediately stopped. Surprisingly, the deer seemed completely fine and ran off. Even more surprisingly, I checked over the front of the car and there was absolutely zero visible damage—no cracked panels, no broken lights, nothing leaking underneath. Just a little bit of fur left on the front end.

However, when I got back in to drive away, the car just wouldn't start. There were no warning lights on the dash, no error messages, and again, no fluids leaking anywhere. The motor just refused to turn over.
I had to get it towed. The tow truck driver tried jumping the battery and doing some basic troubleshooting, but he couldn't get it to start either.

It finally arrived at a Lotus center two days ago, and here is where it gets really strange: the mechanic told me the car is completely unresponsive to their connected Lotus diagnostic computer/OBD tool. Because the car won't communicate with their system, he says they have to start a massive manual search to track down the issue.

Has anyone experienced anything like this or have any mechanical insight? Could hitting the deer have triggered some sort of hidden inertia switch/crash sensor that completely locked out the ECU?
Any ideas would be hugely appreciated!

TL;DR: Got a new Emira V6, hit a deer 2 hours later at 50mph. Zero physical damage to the car, but the engine won't start and the ECU won't talk to the mechanic's diagnostic computer.

Pictures of Emira Matte PPF?

I just ordered a 2024 Seneca Blue Lotus Emira, and I’m thinking about getting it PPF’d matte since the color is so bright and might be a bit too noticeable for me. Does anyone have pictures of what this looks like? I was inspired by this post.

Why haven't Lotus created an Elise EV?

Now I'm not saying I'm an EV fan, but some models such as the new Hyundai N and even the MG Cyberstar have shown a fun EV can be done

Considering how innovative the Elise was at the time, you'd think the current market (and recent political events) has opened up a massive opportunity for a lightweight sports car with an electric motor...

They have access to all the technology, it could be developed with a smaller budget (you'd hope!)

Basically a Modern Tesla Roadster. Lets be honest, business owners would love an excuse to get an Electric Lotus sports car through the books! I think it would do well

How involved is Geely in the Emira?

I have been partial to the Evoras because I like that they were from the pre Geely acquisition.

Given that the Emira shares a lot of DNA with the Evora, how would you consider its make up? Is it an entirely designed and made in England car, just with Chinese backing and sign off? Or did Geely come in with mandates to retrofit on top of the Evora?Somewhere in between?

New Build Incentives?

Has anyone recently gone through the process of buying an Emira using the Lotus custom configurator? If so, were you able to negotiate anything off the configurator’s quoted MSRP? I’m debating between buying a new Emira or picking one up off the used market, and would like to know if there are any incentives for going down the “new” route.

Where to sell Lotus Seven?

Hi I’m looking in to selling my dad’s Lotus Seven. We’re on the west coast of Canada. Is there a place online to sell these kinds of cars?

Thank you
