With LEGO, itโs always hard to tell if waiting will make a set more expensive or less expensive.
I love this set but just wasnโt willing to pay the cRAZy prices people had them listed at.
Finally my patience paid off and I got this set sealed for a slightly less crazy price. Woohoo!! ๐ฅณ
Really happy with the finished piece. The best part, I only had to glue a single rod with 2 notches attached to the frame, itself. The butterfly is detachable and unmodified.
This one is a graduation gift for a friend! I still have a full set to build for myself. ๐ฆ๐ชฒ๐ธ๐๐ป๐ชป๐น๐บ๐ผ๐ชท
Free event hosted by LEGO. Here is the video of the swag bag from the event (minus the delicious free gourmet espresso drink) It was a cool event and I am happy I went.
It was completely free and really sweet with all the moms. (I went by myself as my mom does not live in the same city and LEGO is not something she would understand.)๐ They had 3 different themed swag bags and you got one as you entered.
I was hoping maybe they would have some stuff for saleโฆbut alas, all we masses have to wait until 6/1.
My only other disappointment (because I am a brat) I was disappointed at the use of so many just plain old fake flowers as fillers in all their decor. It was still lovely and I am appreciative.
I โค๏ธ LEGO!
Increasingly impressed with the newer Botanical sets. I was surprised by the how big this beauty is. It has to be at least 15 inches tall and the blooms are lovely.
If I had any criticism, itโs that I personally wish the flower petals werenโt quite as shiny.
Lovely and love it regardless. ๐๐ชป๐ป๐ผ๐ผ๐บ๐ชท๐น๐ฆ๐ชฒ๐
Praying Mantis, framed. I love all the insects so much, I canโt decide which is my favorite. Beetle is next and then the set will be framed.
Again, the mantis is unaltered and removable. Attached by 2 single row 6 notch bars-one which is glued to the base of the frame.

Flying Beetle framed. The set is now completely framed and ready to be hung. I canโt believe how fun these turned out to be and how great they look. So often simplicity is the key.
Will post a pic of the set of 3 tomorrow. I hope LEGO does a lot more insects. I would love to have a wall full. ๐ธ๐ชป๐๐ป๐บ๐ชท๐น๐ผ๐๐ฆ๐ชฒ
This LEGO Ideas project was created as a tribute to wild American ginseng and Appalachian plant heritage.
The model represents a mature wild American ginseng plant with the four-prong leaf structure, red berry cluster, stem, root neck/rhizome, and wild root form beneath the soil. I wanted it to capture both the beauty of the plant above ground and the character of the root below ground.
Wild American ginseng has deep cultural and economic importance in Appalachia, especially here in Kentucky. This project is my way of honoring that tradition through a unique LEGO-style botanical display.
The project is currently published on LEGO Ideas, and support or feedback is appreciated.

I just completed my first ever Lego set at 32!! I loved it. I did the bonsai tree. I canโt wait to start the next one and itโs a big one. ( at least for me lol )
I am very happy with how the set turned out. When my LEGO wall is done I will hang them horizontally, so one can appreciate all the detail.
For now, I just want them up and hung and enjoying it vertically for awhile. Working on scientific name tags.
While I totally understand the purity of everything made with LEGO. For me ther is something really fun about mixing LEGO with traditional interior decorating elements. ๐ชป๐ป๐บ๐๐ผ๐น๐ธ๐๐ชท๐ชฒ๐ฆ
