I think I am officially a kitchen witch 🧙‍♀️

I ended up on kitchen witch tok a week ago and I have been drawn to it. NGL, I am a Hindu so a lot of stuff we already follow. It is so interesting that people who are in two different countries tell the same thing! For example, my grandfather would always say while cooking always stir clockwise. While making dosa, always pour it clockwise. Herbal plants like Holy basil are sacred etc.

Anyways. I just cleansed my whole kitchen spices and burning an incense everytime I cook. I am loving it so far. ❤️🫚🌶️

I feel like the magic is so much stronger when using plants you grew, but maybe that’s just me!!

I love starting my plants from seed, but some family members brought me some of their pepper and squash starts this year :D

Do you guys keep a garden? If so, what do you have planted?

As of now, I have several chamomile, cucumber, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, and basil plants. I’m experimenting with some onion sets this year, and they are doing …okay LOL

I also have some snapdragons, calendula, sage, thyme, squash, watermelon, walking onions, zucchini, lettuce, salvia, sunflowers, and several other types of flowers for the pollinators.

Spouse is working night shift, got the baby to sleep early, so i enjoyed a mini Beltane feast for one!

• Ciabatta roll with hot honey ham, lingonberry jam, and goat cheese

• Roasted beets and rainbow carrots with burrata cheese and balsamic glaze

• Strawberries!

• Creamy lemonade (just lemon juice and condensed milk blended together)

This is my first year doing kitchen witchery to celebrate the Wheel of the Year, so I‘m pretty excited! Blessed Beltane to everyone :)

I designed this planter to feel like a strange little forest charm. The plant growing from the mushroom cap gives it a living altar object feeling without being too serious.

I found a gorgeous drawer… thing? At homegoods and it’s the perfect fit for all of my herb jars! I love that the top has sides so keep things contained for rituals and such
