This is what a data center sounds like 24/7. Shown here at midnight with hundreds of residential houses immediately next to it.

The White House says they will "identify and neutralize" secular political groups that are anti-American, "radically pro-transgender" and anarchist. It declares Anarchists 20 Anti-Fascists as a major terror group. Presidential Foreword ends with "We Will Find You and We Will Kill You."

I tried to crosspost, but it wouldn't let me.

FLX Summer Bucket List

I’ll be leaving Ithaca in about ten weeks. I’m trying to make a weekend bucket list to pass the time and make sure I’m not leaving with regrets.

What are your bucket list or favorite things to do in the Finger Lakes for $20 or less? (or more than that if they’re really spectacular)

I’m not much of a hiker anymore sadly, but I enjoy art, wineries, lakefront views, casual camping, quirky bookstores, ice cream, random museums, and scenic drives.

Pizza

I've been online looking up the best pizza places around here, it had been three and a half weeks and I hadn't had a slice yet. The first place I went to the second week i was here, which will remain nameless, I walked in and the pizza just looked so absolutely disgusting that I just couldn't and that place got 4.6 stars on Google.

A CVS pharmacist told me today that Franco's is the best so I went there. $4.50 for a plain slice. It was okay. Thin crust which was great but even though I asked for well done the crust was still floppy. Pizza was oily. Tasted good. Is this the best that Ithaca has to offer?

Tompkins Dental: we’ll clean your teeth 8 months from now… (oof…)

This isn’t intended as a body slam against the business themselves. My understanding is that Tompkins dental is the only dental provider in Ithaca, possibly even the county, that accepts Medicaid. But getting told today that I can get my teeth cleaned in February is insane. How are they running this business? This really suggests that there is a need for either more businesses to pick up Medicaid or either more dental businesses to come into Tompkins County.

I did ask why it took so much longer than usual, and I was told simply that it was because of “an influx of patients”. Ok, but why…?

Can anyone shed any light as what’s maybe going on here for dental providers within Ithaca and broader Tompkins County?

FLX Coven: last Tuesday of the month, nocturnal cafe, back room, 7pm

So the first one would be May 26th which I hope gives enough notice to everybody? Give me a like if you're thinking about it. Give me an alternate date and time in the comments if you want to go and can't make this time.
My practice is very female centered. People that identify as women are encouraged to attend. I may think about including wizards if everybody else feels comfortable later on.

Covens

I've been working with a group for a few years now online, and would like to give this coven thing a go in person. Anyone? I am open to leading if there's interest.

Did someone forget to clean up their props from a Buttermilk Falls photo shoot?

We went to Buttermilk on Mother's Day. On more than one "flights" of the stone steps, someone had left hundreds of fake, plastic flowers. Some of them even had sticky putty on the back like they tried to adhere them to the wet walls.

Not sure if these were used in someone's photo shoot or if what but don't leave plastic trash in our "Gorges" parks.

Meeting Queer People

I'm moving to the area soon and was wondering how easy it is to meet other queer people, not just in a romantic context. I'm a bi guy, but I'm very straight passing and I haven't had a group of queer friends in years. Are there certain hangout spaces I should go to or apps I should use that are popular in Ithaca?

Hello all,

I just moved up to Ithaca a couple weeks ago and I have already found ticks on me and my little dog and the season is just getting started. I used Wondercide and other natural sprays when I lived a few hours downstate. It doesn't seem to be working up here. The majority of people I have asked have said they used the serestro collar. My Boston is 35 lb and 8 years old. Very early in his life I used Frontline but when I rescued him (his legs tremor) I was told he may have neurological issues so I stopped any chemicals.

My quandary is this. I have seen dogs with Lyme- it's so sad and costly. But I'm scared to use anything with chemicals. Not only for him, but he sleeps in bed with me and I'll be in contact with the collar as well.

What are your experiences with the collar and what do you use up here? Recommendations, advice, all appreciated! Ps. Yes I have spoken to my vet and she says the collar is fine just to keep an eye on him after putting it on.

Good places for swim lessons

Trying to get the 3 and 5 year olds ready for admission to cornell (that was a joke).

Im cool with group or private. It's cool if theyre indoor or outdoor, pool or lake

The YMCA currently has a waiting list (i can try again 23-JUN).

The swim club up on 13 doesnt have their schedule yet.

Any other places people take their kids for swimming lessons that are good around here?

EDIT: thank you everybody for your input!!

Pretty stoked to have another sandwich option than Subway. DiBella's doesn't do it for me, Jimmy Johns is meh and Firehouse's bread tastes sweet or something, even though it's gone, I will likely never frequent it...... Also wouldn't mind a Which Which
