Thru the whole movie i really got the feeling Simon was neurodivergent, many of the choices he made were ones made in a state of dispair, but it still felt like, very outside the box ones?

I dont know what choices a neurotipical person would've made as im so autistic (lmao), id like to hear other people out about it, do you think Simon is/isnt neurodivergent, why?

I think i cant answer this myself other than "it feels so much like me", if anyone can articulate this better it would be very appreciated jsjs

I watched Iron Lung, and watched a playthrough of the game, and I don't really get the main goals. Specifically in the movie's ending. I know the main goal in the beginning was to capture evidence of resources for the remaining human population after the whole universe apocalypse thingy, but as the movie continues, the goals become different. Secrets are spilled and the main goal changes. I know there's this weird forced symbiotic relationship between Simon and the thing, but I also don't really understand how that happened.

I would just really like somebody who understands the whole thing to explain every bit of detail as much as possible so I can't completely understand. I know I'm a dumbass, there was so much going on all at once, with the screaming in the speaker and the hallucinations and the constant visual overstimulation. Yes this will be spoilers to whoever reads the comments, but I've already watched the movie, I just need help having it explained. If you don't want any more spoilers, please don't read the replies.
