How is the student life like at iobm?

​Hey everyone,

​I’m looking into applying at IoBM (CBM) and I’m a bit torn between two programs. Specifically looking at the Business Analytics degree.

​Is there anyone here currently doing it or graduated from it? I want to know if the curriculum is actually updated with modern tools (SQL, Python, PowerBI etc) or if it’s just basic Excel and theory. Also, what’s the job market looking like for BA grads in Karachi right now? Is it easy to land remote roles or should I look elsewhere?

​Also, how does it compare to ACF (Accounting and Finance) at IoBM? Everyone says ACF is the "safe" bet industry-wise, but I’m worried it might be too repetitive or saturated. Which one has more value in the long run if I want to get into tech or data-driven roles?

​Would really appreciate some honest feedback from people who actually go there. Don’t want to waste 4 years on a degree that’s just a "degree" on paper.

My O Level grades are A,A,C,C,D,E,E,E and IBCC equivalency of 61.2%.

and I have Sindh Boadd HSC-1 89% percentage

So on today Friday I paid my fees and my portal haven't updated it's been 5 hours and I am freaking out!!

My reasoning is that today is Friday and they haven't updated it

Keep in mind I was given 2 days to pay my fees and I managed it urgently from somewhere

Do I wait for Monday or should I visit them?

Hi,So i want to go for something like econ and ds/cs or business and cs or maybe like finance and cs,so what should i go for? I have no idea.

I am soo confused i haven’t even applied or appeared for tests yet. But i am not getting clear on KSBL OR IOBM FOR MBA?

They are literally giving 2 days to pay the fee like wtf??! At least a week should be given.

I'm giving one subj rn and my admission depends on it. So if I pay the admission fee and godfoibid I do not get the result required to get in the uni so will that money be refunded to me?

Hi I saw that the eligibility criteria for iobm is CCC but I wanted to ask if there's any chance I get into IOBM with BDE?I'm rlly stressed I rlly wanted to get into but my grades came out rlly unexpected

do we have to submit our o,alevel results only or equivalency certificates too??

Is maths necessary for this program in your alevels? Also is this program better than bba

Last year in Nov- Dec , i gave the test and communicated it to their office that I will be giving accelerated so right now i only have 1 final A level grade and 1 AS. After giving the test (which went well imo) and another friend of mine gave the test (little background: we usually score similar grades and have same brain cells) toh i was convinced the same hee fate hoga, but she got to the interview part and i could not and mujhe laga ke it must be the case kyunke she had 2 A-level grades and was giving her A2 for one more subject next. Fast-forwarded to now in the current timeline, I have 2 final grades and giving one accelerated in october- november session jiska result Jan mein ajayega. My question is, now that i have to appear in the test again, and let's say it goes well, Will this be an issue again? I tried explaining them my case lekin uske bawajood they did not provide any guidelines or whether when i should really apply. I do not get why they are not clocking it and giving me a proper solution, they are saying 'jee apply kardein hojaayega' when it was clearly not possible back then. Please someone who has gone through anything similar or has any knowledge regarding this guide me it is causing me stress thinking ke merey 6 months zaya na hojaayen.

The req for iobm is CCE minimum. I have a CCU. Will they let me in and let me retake in Oct/nov while being their student or will they tell me to come in spring

I’ve asked this before but everyone replied with “I think”. Is Urdu 9686 Alevel accepted? I have a C in maths C in Urdu and Unin Alevel business. Will I get accepted cuz the website only says 3 Alevel subjects with at least 2 C grades

How's getting business analytics degree from iobm? is it competitive? chances to get in, in r2 ?
