Any Indian story or screenplay writers here?

Hey, I’m a writer who writes fiction and screenplays. I recently made a small discord server for writers to talk, share ideas, give feedback, and help each other improve.

We already have a few writers there, and if you write fiction, screenplays, short stories, or anything creative, feel free to join.

If anyone’s interested, feel free to comment or DM me.

Any Indian writers interested in joining a writers GC?

Me and my friend recently made a small Instagram GC for Indian writers to connect, share ideas, talk about writing, and just make writer friends.

Any kind of writer is welcome. Mostly looking for people around 17–21. If anyone’s interested, feel free to DM me.

The Call Bell From Room 214👁️

“I work night shifts at a small hospital, mostly in the old recovery wing that almost nobody uses anymore.

Last week, around 2:40 AM, I heard one of the patient room call bells ringing repeatedly from Room 214. The weird part was… that room had been empty for days.

I thought maybe maintenance was checking something, so I walked over there. The hallway lights kept flickering the closer I got.

The call bell suddenly stopped.

When I opened the door, the room was completely dark except for the heart monitor near the bed.

It was on.

And showing a pulse.

Slow… steady beeping.

There was nobody in the room.

I immediately called security, but before they arrived, the monitor flatlined on its own.

The next morning, one of the older nurses asked me if I heard the bell from 214.

She looked genuinely uncomfortable when I said yes.

Apparently, a patient died there years ago during a power outage.

At exactly 2:40 AM.”

4 days ago I had shared my submission package i.e, Author bio, synopsis, and sample chapters to multiple Literary Agents/Agencies, and yesterday, The Book Bakers replied to my mail and shared their no. and told me to contact them. Is it a valid literary agency? I am having second thoughts coz they literary replied so fast whereas it take 2-3 months to hear back from an agent. (Mind you they didn't even ask about the full manuscript or reviewed my submission, just shared their number). If anyone has been represented by them or know anything about them, please do share.

Finally my book is published.

.

.

The entire Atris Kingdom fell in a single night - a massacre remembered only as the Night of

Silence.

Only the Wings of Raven survived. Bound by grief,

fage, and destiny, they set out on a journey not just for vengeance..but for answers.

Along the way, their path is steeped in sorrow, betrayal, and choices no one should ever face.

What begins as revenge soon becomes something far greater - a quest that unravels the lost history

of the world itself

Their world ended in blood.

Now, a new one begins in fire.

Need copywriter

Fed up with AI-generated writing. Can someone recommend some genuine copywriters whose writing style is a mix of humor and nostalgia? Writing will be used for an Instagram carousel and reel for a brand.

Hello I have a final copy ready for a Childrens fiction book. Illustrations and formatting is done. It is essentially ready to go.

How do I look about publishing the book? I have already spent a pretty penny on illustrations and hence dont want to go for the 100% profit model where the author has to pay publishers a service fee for marketing/distribution.

Any recommendations/advice would help.

Hi all,

I am looking for a writer, who wants to write but doesn't have a story. I have a few fantasy stories with me that i would like to publish, but do not have the bandwidth to work on.

I will handle the story, characters, and editing. I want someone to do the heavy lifting of writing the content.

The genre is fantasy. And it will be a long term commitment. Expect to write 30k words before publishing.

The monetary path will be publish on Royalroad -> Patreon -> Finish book 1 -> publish on amazon.

We can discuss the monetary split once we settle on the style.

Would be good if you guys are in Bangalore as well, but necessary.

The plot will be a mix of Indian Mythology mixed with western fantasy.

Hey, I just put out my first book, Once a Head, Now a Curse, on Amazon.

It’s a dark mystery/psychological story about uncovering something from the past that probably should’ve stayed buried.

Fair question — why should you buy it?

If you like stories that feel a bit unsettling and slowly come together instead of being obvious, that’s what I tried to write. It’s more about the vibe and tension than fast action.

I’m not a big author or anything, just someone who wanted to finish a story and put it out there.

If that sounds like your kind of read, you can check it out here:

And if you do read it, even a small review would mean a lot

Thanks a lot

Noticed this recently.
You can sit with something for hours and still feel kind of stuck on it. But then you try to write it out, even badly, even just bullet points, and it suddenly makes more sense.
Not full journaling. Just getting it out of your head somehow.
Thinking on its own sort of loops. Writing makes it go somewhere.
Maybe it's just a me thing but curious if others experience this too.
