Should I do it?

I'm thinking of getting an I30 N as my first car and found a good 2024 example with only 8000km on it. The buyer is asking for ZAR 550 000 or about $32k. Is this a good idea or should I keep looking?

Car damaged from parking space

Hello guys, I was reversing into a space and in my blind spots was a damaged knocked over iron pole which scraped my drivers side door. It was too low to see in mirrors and hidden behind a wall on the way in. How much will this cost to repair and are the company (Papa Johns) liable for failed upkeep of the space, shot in the dark I know. Thankyou.

Hi guys,

'm a bit confused about the infotainment software version on my 2024 i30N. When I search by VIN on the official Hyundai site, it literally says that my car doesn't support software updates (like wtf?).

https://preview.redd.it/j7lhqn9vybzg1.jpg?width=1297&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9dc5ea96c12de05738e3fa535c5161ff96c9e85e

Manual search doesn't show the FL model either, only normal i30 2020-2024 or i30N 2020:

I had 2 year service like two months ago, no Update was made. Is there actually no update on this modell?? Can't believe that. The version I currently have installed is pretty old:

Do you have newer versions on your FL model?

What’s the best track day setup Elantra N?

I have Elantra N and stock they are good track day cars but what about modded?

See plenty of tunes that can make 350+whp and make it. I’ve in a straight line or roll race 60-130 etc but what about track day?

Intercooler a must? Tunes? Dump pipes? What sort of boost is it best to limit? Will a tuned Elantra N just heat soak on track?

What is a great modded track day setup?

Hi there everyone, not sure if this is the best place to be posting without bias leaning towards the i30N…

I’m currently driving a 1.6 tdi golf and feel like it’s time for something which gives me more of a smile when I drive.

I’m really stuck choosing between a mk7.5 performance or i30N performance for my needs which are:

- okay insurance wise (I’m 23 with 2 years NCB)
- useable as a daily (I don’t commute much for work, just runs to the shops etc.)
- reasonable running costs for parts etc

The only differences I can see at the moment is that the i30 is a better driving experience but costs a fair bit more (around 25-30k in the UK) and the GTI (around 18-23k) is a better all rounder?

Any thoughts would be appreciated and anyone else who has had to make a similar choice.

dp/gpf/res delete etc

I’m looking to do some sound mods to my car, it’s not loud enough anymore.

Fyi, I want the car to be louder than stock but not obnoxious, I leave for work at 4am most days and I feel like my car is already too loud on cold starts.

I’ve heard gpf and res deletes are good options but I wanna hear it first hand from people that actually have them done. Sound, pops/bang clips if you have them please.

EDIT: I now know Aussie models do not have a GFP 😧

Im in Brisbane Australia.

Been tossing up with getting a downpipe, obviously xforce is the most reputable retailer here for Australia but I really just want opinions, I would love to go catless but I can’t seem to find a good catless dp from Australia retailers.

HELP

Hi all,
I have a 2021 manual i30N and want to do a GPF delete and flexi pipe, but cannot decide whether to go for the regular rpm performance gpf delete or the resonated (stealth) gpf delete?

Fogging headlamps

Hello, I have 2019 I30N fastback and both my headlamps suffer from serious fogging. Do you guys have this same problem and do you know any DIY tricks to fix this?

The stock pops and bangs are already pretty wild. Does aftermarket really add much or just louder? Looking for opinions.

Hi, just recently bought an i30n as my first manual car and I love the thing. Was wondering what are some mods that you think are essential to get the most out of this car?

Also was thinking are cosmetic mods worth it on this car? If so what would you recommend? Cheers.

Does anyone experience slight movement from the front suspension when accelerating hard?
Is it normal or I be worried about my front suspension?

Has anyone changed their tyres and started experiencing slight vibrations when driving at normal speed from the accelerator?

Curious on if anybody has made up their own or found a good manufacturer of an extra air duct to guide up into the bay from the main grille, or an extra duct from the lower side grille up to the air filter on the pfl.

I believe rpm do a main grille duct for the facelifts however it's the only one I've seen.

Needing to increase my engine bay cooling and trying to reduce heat soak. Potentially increasing air flow to the filter is my best thought at the moment. Otherwise, bonnet vents it is😂

Hello, I have taken interest in buying a 2021 i30N Fastback. I went and did a test drive, and it was lovely and genuinely fun to drive. The car has 23,000 km on it and comes with the N Light bucket seats. I want to ask what your thoughts are on the car—things you like or dislike, things to look out for, and what it’s generally like to own a car like this. I would appreciate any comments and experiences you have, and thank you beforehand 😄

Anyone having issues with their Left Hand Side (Transmission side) drive shaft?

I see reports across everywhere that these are failing even on a stock untuned/modded car.

Is there an aftermarket replacement?

I'm growing tired of buying OEM shafts to only have them fail after a few track days or mountain runs.
