Will I still grow taller at 17

I’m 17M, turning 18 in November, and I’m not sure if I’ll grow any taller. Before puberty I was around 5'3-5'4, and now I’m 5'6. It’s been like 2 or 3 years since I’ve noticed any height increase.

For context, my dad is 5'5, my mom is 5'0, and my older brother is 5'8. My uncles are around 5'9 or 5'10, not sure if that matters.

I honestly don’t know if I still have any growth potential, and I’m not even sure if I’ve fully completed puberty yet. I already have a beard, not very thick since I shave, and a decent mustache, plus normal body hair on my arms and legs, so it feels like I’ve gone through most of it.

The main issue is my motivation is starting to drop. Things like working out, eating properly, and sleeping well just feel pointless when I keep thinking I might be done growing.

I know I could check my growth plates with an X-ray, but my parents don’t really take it seriously when I bring it up.

I also have some body issues like flat feet, slight bow legs, and it feels uncomfortable, like there’s pressure on my feet. I also have anterior pelvic tilt and pretty bad posture. I’ve tried to fix these but I’m struggling.

I just want to know if there’s still any chance I’ll grow more, and if things like diet, stretching, or exercise actually help. And if anyone has dealt with similar posture or body issues, what helped you fix it.

Any tips to grow taller at 15?

Hello, im currently 15 and 165cm (5,5). I know that i am going to grow because of puperty but i still want to know if they are any important things to do in this time. For reference my father ist 1,79 (5,11) and my mom is 163 (5,4). Apperiently i dont sleep a lot, i think its 4 to 6 hours depending on the day but more in brakes from school of course. I dont feel very happy with my hight considering i am one of the smallest in my class and girls making fun of me. I am very thankful for anyone who got tips or other things.

Will I grow taller at 16

I had my voice change( changed gradually not like a crack)few months before I turned 14.I had my last growth few month before 15.

Now I’m 16.4 and my endo says that my bone age (wrists)is 17 and that the growth plates there are nearly closed.

I’m still few cm shorter than my brother who had the same thing as me (no growth for 1.5-2 years )but then at 17.5-18.5 he grew 3-4 cm taller. As for my uncle he had his major growth spurt at 17 and became like 7 cm taller

Should I expect smth like this ?

16 years old and 5'9 tall

Hey everyone! I'm 16 years old (turning 17 soon) and today I'm 5'9 tall. I confess that, since the pandemic, I haven't been taking care of myself: I ate poorly, hardly drank any water, and was completely sedentary. Now I've decided to change that to try and reach my maximum height potential. I'm going to the gym, running, and playing basketball, in addition to stretching for posture. I've also greatly improved my diet and started sleeping 8 to 9 hours, which is double what I used to sleep before. Regarding supplementation, I'm using some items like Zinc, Magnesium, Calcium, and amino acids (Arginine, Ornithine, and Glutamine). What gives me hope of growing more is that my extremities (hands and feet) and my wingspan are quite large, but my torso is still short. My father is about 5'11 tall and my mother is 5'4. Since I've always been one of the shortest in my class and only started growing properly now, I suspect my development is delayed. Has anyone else experienced this or know if I still have a chance to gain a few more centimeters?

Any hope for me(M17)?

Any hope for me(M17)?

Hello there :)

Lets get down to the niddy griddy:

Every male in my family: ~185 / ~6'1"

Every female in my family: ~165 / ~5'5"

One grandpa: ~170 / ~5'8"

Also my sister is rather tall I'd say.

Furthermore I have done an mri scan like 6-7 (im not joking) Months ago and my knee plates or whatever they're called weren't not closed then, but also aren't wide open.

When I was younger, like 14 I was 150cm 4'11" tall (bottom 10% in a height graph), so I always was the shortest in class (still on the shorter side today, but not THE shortest).

I think my voice broke at ~15.5.

Last year in july I was 175 cm / 5'9" tall, over 10 months I grew ~ 3cm / 1.2".

Also I have noticed some hairs on my belly (idk if that helps but now you know)

Why I posted this (not rly important but if u like to read for some reason):

I posted here because I noticed that many friends / randos at school are taller than me, even if they (genetically) shouldn't be. When you tell me now that it's over, and I won't grow any more that's ok, because then I can finally stop worrying about my height. On the other hand, if you tell me that I can still grow, I would be very grateful if you told me how I could maximise growth at that age (or if that's even possible).

So.. is there any possibility that I will still grow a bit, or should I stop thinking about it?

If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them :)

Rant and advice about my biggest regret from someone who's probably close to being done with puberty

I hate my height, I feel insecure about it, and I have only started to feel the fear of being under average in my surroundings, I didn't care back then because I was quite tall for my age back then because of early puberty, but as the people around me grew older and started puberty, I realize that I am not really "tall", and I really hate that feeling. I am 16, 175cm, dad is 180 and mom is 155 (however my maternal aunts are like 160+, not sure if that changes anything). I think I am in the final stages of puberty, I haven't grown much since last year, and I regret what I have done that probably made me not reach my potential.

The thing is that I REALLY really regret not prioritizing sleep. Due to my school schedule and my addiction to short form content, plus the fact that I am a chronic procrastinator, doing my homework past 12 because I couldn't bring myself to do it earlier, I slept like 5-6 hours daily when I was in my growth spurt during weekdays, and 7-8 hrs in weekends, and slept even less for the past 1-2 years because I had more work to do, I did take naps though, but I don't think it really matters anymore. I remember when I procrastinated during my exams, and started studying the day before, and during exam weeks I got like 2-3 hrs of sleep daily. Now I feel fatigued and terrible everyday too.

I ate well, but I didn't sleep well, I exercised sometimes but was very inconsistent. I really really hate my school and what short form content did to me, I hate that I cant stop procrastinating.

So my advice to those that recently started puberty or is still growing. PRIORITIZE SLEEP AND EAT WELL, get 8+ hrs sleep, if anything is getting in your way of sleeping 8+ hours then it's not important, because nothing is more important than sleep when you are in puberty. And stop doomscrolling and procrastinating too.

alright I'm done yapping

CAN I GROW TALLER ???

I am a female and I just turned 15 I'm around 160(5'3) cm approx . It is considered avg height for girls in my country but all my friends are tall around 5'5 , my family also keeps telling me to grow atleast 3 inches more and tbh I wanna grow badly . I got my period in 6 grade and Im in 10th grade now and I haven't grown much since 8th grade while everyone around me keeps growing taller honestly its disheartening. my mum keeps saying that if I stretch and exercise I can grow taller ( im not very physically active rn ) . also my mom is 5 ft and my dad is 6ft so acc to the height formula or whatever I should be around 161 cm kinda what I already am . so I wanna know if I start stretching is their a chance I can grow 2 inches more ....

Growth Potential?

I’m a 19 year old male that’s is 177-178cm in height. My father is 165 and my mother 160. Is it still possible for me to grow maybe 1-2 more cm or is it impossible.

Gadies and lentlemen. Welcome to monkeymaxxing.

By embracing peak primate alignment, you unlock ancestral efficiency buried beneath layers of modern artificiality. Every climb, hang, and crouch reactivates dormant pathways your ancestors used to dominate terrain, while sitting in chairs dulls your biological firmware and weakens your grip on reality. But, it's prime time for growth plates and time to strengthen those hormonal pathways.

Grip strength rises. Reflexes sharpen. Legs soar and arms roar. Posture evolves from “desk organism” to “arboreal predator.” You begin to think less and move more, tapping into instinctive decision loops that bypass overanalysis entirely. They say it just improves your posture, but it's not just that. It kickstarts and opens every chakra channel in your very spine... and gets the growth plates going. Those ring apophyses will be screaming with joy: "For we toil and lay down bone material, we shall rejoice under the mighty name of... monkey man!"

The modern world calls it chaos. The monkey calls it optimal. I call it working my growth magic.

This was me at age 13Y 9M and 13Y 10M - king of the trees. Before then was me at age ~12Y 8M, conquering the side of a mountain. Ignore the harness, please; those are for wimps. I'm not a wimp.

At age 14Y 2M, I took it a step further; I went one-handed. Try to get the window lickers to top that.
