What made you decide to take masters?

I'm 25, thinking kung bored lang ba ako or gusto ko talaga mapabilis promotion ko sa work. Planning to take Manufacturing Engineering sa BulSU. Any thoughts?

MBA thesis adviser

Hi! Quick question, does anyone have a gist of how much should you pay your thesis adviser? Do you need to pay every consultation? Or is it a one payment for all the consultations needed?

I just need a budget or a range of how much. Thanks!

UST Graduate School

I hope there are UST GS students here who can clarify a few things regarding the admission requirements.

  1. What is Advanced Academic Writing course for? Is it required regardless of exam results?

  2. UST website says two recommendation letters are needed, but UST GS Facebook post mentions only one. Which one applies?

  3. Since all documents need to be submitted to UST GS Office (TARC) physically, should the recommendation letter also be included in the submission? Does it need to be sealed? or should it be submitted directly by the recommender through the Google Form?

  4. How long does the evaluation process usually take?

  5. Does UST offer an installment option for Graduate School fees?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer or share their experience. 🙂

I turned 45 this month. I finished BSECE in MIT. Family guy with 2 young kids. I have been working for quite long and would like to go back studying and plan to just teach until my retirement if possible. Need to know your take in my situation.

Edit: araw-araw ako kinakain ng impostor syndrome. Grabe.

Not this DepEd personnel with a huge following on fb lowkey telling teachers na walang problema kung mag eenrol sila sa diploma mill na school lol tas nakakasuka pa yung comment section

I want to do research on that.

Or please educate me. Tayo po ba ang mag-aapply sa mga lab na aligns with our research interests, or no choice kung saan man maassign?

Currently taking master's. I have no idea ano pinasok kong field, hoping for your kind guidance. Salamat po!

Could anyone share their tips, suggestions, or what to expect studying master's at Ateneo? (context: I’m a local uni grad here in Metro Manila, and honestly, the big schools are pretty intimidating. Your reply would be a huge help).

Hi, normal lang ba na umabot ng 5 years sa master's imbes na 4 years dahil gusto kong kumuha ng more than the number of required electives?

Thank you! 🙇‍♀️

Hi po, I took BSEd Values Education in my undergrad and I am currently planning to pursue my master’s degree.

During my internship, some DepEd teachers mentioned that taking a master’s degree aligned with your undergrad specialization is often a wise move for promotion and career growth.

My initial plan was to pursue MAEd Values Education (MAVE). However, I noticed that only a few schools offer VE as a stand-alone specialization, and many programs integrate it with religious or faith-based education, which may not fully align with the direction I want to take.

I also completed my undergrad in PNU, and I am now hoping to explore other universities for my graduate studies.

Right now, I am choosing between:

  • Master of Family Life and Child Development
  • MA in Social Studies Education @ UPOU
  • Other related MAEd programs (PUP, UP, other state universities)

My goal is to teach in SHS and eventually grow within DepEd.

Would like to ask for your insights:

  • Which of these options is more practical for promotion and career growth in DepEd?
  • Is it better to stay aligned with my specialization, or okay lang to shift to a broader field?

Thank you po in advance!
