Sorry for the crappy pics but figured I'd show the newest garage. Came with a 12k lift which will be nice for sure. About 2400 sq ft on the bottom and 900 sq ft of storage above. Need to start shifting some bikes and tools over but more lights and work benches going in at the moment. Ready to start doing some projects. Video walk-through below.
If you’re looking for the best top coat. Take a look at ghost shield poly 980. Like a lot of people in here have done before, I tried the rustoleum system. It sucked and chipped after 1 oil change. After redoing the floors and finalizing the top coat with the Ghost Shield Poly 980, the floors are perfect and the transformation is complete.
Had a huge renovation a few years ago and had a gap where I wanted this box but time and money always got in the way.
A few more things I want to do but so happy with the progress!
The top is shiny because I sanded it all back and varnished it and it was still wet in the pics.
First pic was after my first renovation, see my previous posts for the full thing.
Would have rather gotten epoxy or porcelain tile but wasn’t in the budget unfortunately. Feel like these turned out pretty good for $750. We will see how they hold up.
Pegboard base with 3d printed shelving and lighting.
We moved in here less than a year ago and the garage has been a priority of mine to fix up. Even just new paint and the floor coating made a huge difference. Also would definitely recommend putting cabinets and fridges on wheels so things are easier to clean under
Just got her up! Very happy for the price. 30x40.
Looking for pictures of y'alls interiors. I'm considering Trusscore or plywood. Show me what you've done!!
Just purchased my first home last year and looking for ideas on how to organize and set up the garage without going too crazy on the budget.
My goals are:
- Fit both cars comfortably (sedan + SUV)
- Add a small toolbox/workbench area
- Keep a freezer in the garage
- Improve storage and organization
- Leave some room for basic woodworking/DIY projects
Right now, space feels a little tight with both vehicles inside, so I’m curious what storage systems, shelving setups, ceiling storage, wall organization, or other space-saving products you all recommend and actually like using.
I also have lawn equipment, but eventually I plan to move most of it into a backyard shed that I want to renovate later on.
Garage measurements:
22’3” x 27’4”
Budget:
Hoping to stay somewhere around $500–$1,000 for now.
Would love to see any ideas, layouts, product recommendations, or garage setups you all think would work well. Thanks in advance!
P.S: I wanted to change the lightning in the garage and i have seen a lot of posts with this type of lights and they look amazing. I bought these Hexagon Garage Lights, with 168W 6500K 18480Lumens Honeycomb Hexagon Led.

(Not trying to promote this product, i have not tried it yet)
Update1: i have added pictures of my backyard Shed, any feedback and/or suggestion is appreciated!
I appreciate all the feedback, some roasting is acceptable too :)
Working with a garage company to design my first garage + cabinets. Anyone here wrap all their walls with slat wall? Was it worth it to have flexibility to move things around? Or is it generally better to put it set places?
Mine has to be this statue of Marilyn Monroe my wife and I bought a couple of years ago. We call her "Muertalyn" and she just lives in my shop now.
Got two of the shop Supervisors hard at work judging me one from the Bench and the other asked for a bed in the garage 🤣
All totaled:
- Epoxy floor $3500
- Cabinets from New Age $3000
- Flowwall $500
- SafeRack tire rack $70
Moved into my new house and did the acid etching as it was “new concrete.” Epoxy has some learning curves for sure. But I bought a solid kit since I didn’t watch to cheap out. Spent about $1200 CAD from magic resin. Got the poly for topcoat. I found the flake distribution difficult but overall I am happy with it. The topcoat is just settled and has very high gloss so there are some marks on the floor when looking as it didn’t “self level” as much as I hoped.
I used carbon black and dark grey chips in my own mix 70-30% 30 pounds had very little left over.
Overall I am happy as a first timer. Just looking for other opinions or feedback from any mistakes. I was very careful not to over work the topcoat and only used a squeegee east to went and then back-rolled.
My AI friend says I did solid, but now I bring it to the real tough judges of reddit.
I’m looking to try to turn this space into a hangout area where I can watch football (49ers fan) and ufc. Do you guys have any ideas? I circled where the door is and where the outlet is. I do rent, and all this other junk will be out of here shortly. Thank you in advance!
Thought I would update after my previous post a few weeks ago. We have power at last.
Flooring still to finish, then racking/storage/work bench.
