256gb variant
Are there folks that go with and accept the 256gb versión? Is it a deal breaker? I use one of the Google premium storage tiers so I might be in luck? But just wanted to get honest opinions.
Thanks.
The videography aspect, what is your thoughts
While I know Chinese devices has better camera but in the video aspect they seem lack the tech of iPhone and Samsung??
But this year Sam should enhanced this thing, from your opinion did s26 ultra better than iPhone at taking video, is it the best device for this matter ?
magbak case
i'm thinking about buying the magbak case, does anyone have it? do you reccomend it? does the s-pen work fine?
Just posting my (Latest/Final?) S26U Case setup (Torras Qstand Q3 air) and accessories, a little bit of my experience with it.
I've had the S26 Ultra for 3 weeks, now. I have used the Supcase with kickstand, apparent the "Unicorn beetle grip, as well as the Torras classic translucent magnetic case. For the S25 Ultra I had the UAG PLASMA XTE black and orange, and until I got the air, I thought people were just being picky and complaining when they would say a device was too bulky or that corners being rounded off was more desirable etc you. You don't know what you don't know, because when I started using this latest Q3 and how slim and comfortable it felt in my hand versus the sup lcase as well as the UAG which I almost bought again for this device just because of the color scheme matching my watch but I didn't like the camera cutouts on it. Which, there are several things I prefer regarding this latest case over the UAG now that I have had them both. I obviously don't like the price but I did manage to get it on sale at about 30% off.
I still do not feel as though I am practicing good stewardship when spending more than 30 or 35 bucks for a case, however, I am likely going to use this case for the duration that I own the device, so buy once cry once I guess. 🤷♂️
As far as the S26 Ultra goes in general I think it's a solid upgrade over the S25 Ultra, I have had all of the ultras besides the s21 and this is as it should be the best produced model thus far. It has all the things you would expect such as a snappier UI and quicker and better designed user interface, a particularly enjoy using modes and routines but besides the processor the camera upgrades (taking photos in the dark has improved dramatically and I still have my S25 Ultra to compare right now, that is how I took these photos of the S26 lol), there are a lot of features that are going to be coming to the S25 Ultra in the next couple of months when it gets when you are 8.5, as well. I'm looking forward to seeing what one UI 9 and Android 17 bring to the table.
Passage iPhone 16 pro au S26
Bonjour,
Je suis actuellement sur un iPhone 16 pro j’hésite à passé sur Samsung car je trouve iOS restrictif ennuyeux mais j’ai peur de regretter des avis ?
Super Fast 3.0 Charger and Wireless Charger
Can someone recommend a reasonably priced charger that'll do 60w charging and a cheap enough wireless one?
I've seen plenty of recommendations for US plugs but has to be a UK plug, preferably on Amazon.
Switching from iPhone to galaxy
Good afternoon! I’ve been with Apple for about 11 years, and honestly, I’ve had it with the company. The devices feel cheaply made and seem designed to deteriorate within the first year. I’m considering switching to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, what are your thoughts on it? My biggest issue with my iPhone 16 Pro Max right now is the battery life; it’s terrible. It also gets incredibly hot and starts lagging, and even when it’s not overheating, it still lags. At this point, I’m just fed up with iPhone.
For those of you who have the Galaxy S26 Ultra, what do you like most about it? How’s the battery life day to day? Does it overheat or lag at all? Any pros or cons I should know before switching?
S pen use case for the first time
I switched over to Samsung from apple last year with the s25 ultra and then upgraded to s26 ultra this year.
For the very first time, I had a real use case and it went quite well.
My son doing math homework couldn't figure out how to approach the solution. My first instinct was asking him to get a paper and pencil and at that moment I realized I have it in my hand.
Drew this out and he understood the concept and was able to complete his solution.
It's trivial I know but before this day apart from signing a pdf a few months ago the only time the s pen was used was doing the AI art by my son when getting bored on long train trips.
What about you all? Do you end up using the S Pen day to day?
Extra dim feature
Has anyone tried this feature and is it exclusively for OneUI 8.5 as I havent seen it in my S24 Ultra before.
If anyone has tried it, does it increase the battery life atleast by a bit?
Untill now how you describe your s26 ultra?
What is your thoughts about the device in general? What issues did you face? Do you like it? Do you advice me to buy it? How was the photography aspect?
Guys. What's that circle almost under the front camera? It's the original glass. I didn't apply any films or screen protectors. I just noticed it under a bright light.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice On Android (Samsung S26)| Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy (Winlator)
Tested on different graphic and resolution settings are here, https://youtu.be/47nEir_q6JA
Battery life🔋 on the S26 ultra has been amazing.
I use aod, qhd+, adaptive brightness, even scheduled light and dark modes, etc. I honestly don't get how some people are only getting less than 7 hrs of sot unless (they use the camera which I know is a battery killer).
S26U charging has gotten bad and with the battery
This latest update has done something to my phone. I used to charge with SF2 (my bed charger) to get to 90% in like 45 mins, I do have a SF3 capable charger but that's for school. Noticed my phone today is struggling to last 6 hours with normal use than before. Used a charger for it and noticed it's taking a long time so decide to switch over to my SF3 charger and that is taking even longer from a 20% battery, saying 50 mins. Like I am shocked at the degradation. It even says SF2/3 enabled so I'm sure nothing has changed because it used to respond well to the SF3 change and was quite impressive but this is shockingly bad. My SF3 charger has a wattage draw and it shows max draw for the phone to be 9w while the average being 7w. Wth is happening samsung.
Just curious – are Samsung phones built differently by region? Thinking of importing an S26 Ultra from the US to Africa
I've seen claims that Samsung (and maybe other brands) build devices differently depending on the target continent or market. Supposedly, the versions shipped to Africa are noticeably lower-spec or "underpar" compared to those for Europe, the US, etc.
How true is this? Are there real hardware differences (like chipset, build quality, cameras, screen quality etc.), or is it mostly about software, network bands, or something else?
I'm specifically thinking of buying the Galaxy S26 Ultra from US or some and importing it to Africa. Please share your legit unbiased thoughts
