I get that the comments are making fun of what some men say when some are raped but it is still bad because;
Men already are dismissed by similar comments. “He’s lucky, he probably liked it, did he have an erection? He could’ve fought back, etc”. So this is unnecessary
Taking a serious crime and making it about yourself is disgusting. It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to get attention for another cause. This is a real man who went through trauma
Many of these comments are ableist
It is derailing the conversation. Many of these women say men only bring up male victims when female victims are discussed. But they are doing a similar thing. They’re derailing the conversation back to women. The fact that women are questioned about what they were wearing and things like that when they’re raped is disgusting. But why don’t they make their own post? They only bring it up when talking about male victims.
I bet plenty of these women will claim that it’s men and the patriarchy to blame for male victims not being taken seriously. They say feminists want to help and it’s other men who mock male victims…. Are they not doing the same? They are the so-called “patriarchy”; they’re doing exactly the same thing. They do not care about male victims. Not a single bit
Kicking balls
Why are kicking the balls or hurting then taken as a joke , it's almost a near death experience, so painful and humiliating yet it's taken as a comedy scene whenever someone does it or even in freaking movies
People Blaming a Man for Being Sexually Assaulted by His Mother
At least some people called it out.
“Young men” mentioned by AOC in her interview, which was posted on one of the leftwing subreddit in USA
Somebody made fun of people drawing with period blood
Man who was medically neglected for decades and was finally listened to gets told his diagnosis happened “first time” because he is a man
Taunting pictures in the men's toilet room in a restaurant
I have a strong dout that there is somthing like this in the women's toilet room. The men's toilet room also has no lock while the women's has it.
Blog explains the sexist tropes in the latest Devil Wears Prada movies. Streep justifies her sexism against men by saying that she was mirroring her experiences with men throughout her career in Hollywood. That's not good enough and we need to see less man hating drivel in cinema.
What I don't agree with in the blog post is calling her behaviour or the film toxic misandry, by doing so I am concerned that we will head towards the same trajectory as feminism. Toxic behaviour is toxic. Misandry is contempt / hatred as well as sexist attitudes and behaviour towards men. Its the opposite of misogyny let's leave it at that.
It was still a good post overall.
