Sign the Petition to Limit ALPR (Flock) Surveillance

Hi everyone! You may have noticed the unsightly flock cameras lining our roadways. This petition is intended to stop unregulated data collection and sharing of the information gathered from ALPRs like Flock cameras. It is also intended to protect the privacy of individuals traveling on Indiana road ways. If you’d like to stop being surveilled and having your data sold, please sign the petition! Here is some information about ALPRs and Indiana.

Indiana lacks clear, constitutional limits on automatic license plate reader (ALPR) surveillance.

No Statewide Regulation on ALPR Use
Indiana has no law regulating automatic license plate readers, leaving each law enforcement agency to set its own policies—or operate without any rules at all.

Unlimited Data Retention
Indiana places no limit on how long police can keep ALPR data. Without mandatory deletion rules, agencies can store years of location records from routine scans, allowing long-term monitoring of citizens’ movements with no oversight or expiration.

Lack of Transparency and Oversight
Indiana has no statewide standards requiring transparency or oversight for ALPR use. Without clear requirements for audit logs, reporting, or review, it is difficult to verify that ALPR systems are used consistently and according to policy, increasing uncertainty for agencies and the public alike.

Can anyone recommend a good provider for psych med management?

My husband is in need of a good provider for his psych med management. His current provider is an asshole and blames side effects on his weight. Looking for someone who is not a fatphobic jerk and will actually listen.

SUN co-op is usless parasitic middle man, do not sign up.

Evansville partnered with SUN co-op group to try and help Evansville not rely on centerpoint gouging us for money.

It sounded great at first until I almost signed up and read through the terms and services.

So first off, if I read this correctly the city of Evansville is looking to only cover 60% to 80% of your electricity needs, the rest is still pulled from centerpoint so you'll still have a bill.

2nd SUN only acts as a middleman heloing you find a lender if you can't pay everything out of pocket, collecting $600 from installers, and screens the installers to see who gets the contract, only the screen group is going to be made up of volunteers to some degree. How much of the assessor group is going to be made up of volunteers I have no idea because they didn't specify that.

3rd they do not provide any help outside of just picking lenders and solar contractors, this is all stuff you can do yourself. If something goes wrong or you get screwed or the solar company declares bankruptcy and your warranty becomes useless, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.

4th by signing up for this program you sign away all rights to sue them and are forbidden from talking bad about them.

There is zero benefit to joining this group when everything they provide you can just do yourself, it's not even a net neutral it's a net negative to join this group because of everything I've listed here.

Do not sign up for this program and demand the city start their own Co-op That actually provides benefits and help to people who set up energy production.

Part of me is wondering if they decided to work with this company just to provide a terrible alternative and keep people paying for Center points energy.

At home euthanasia for dogs... I need recommendations, please.

Our Corgi of 14 years has been diagnosed with an inoperable form of cancer in his bladder that will, without warning, result in an extremely painful death before the year is out. With or without treatment...

We're sorting out plans now to give him the best few months we can before we need to put him to sleep before that can happen to him. Play dates, a swim, treats, a steak, and a chocolate treat for his final hour.

I need recommendations for an at home vet to perform the euthanasia.

Also... if you have any ideas on how to pamper him, I am all ears. While he still has a lot of energy, he does have arthritis and wouldnt be able to handle things like trails or dog parks.

Is there any area that is suitable for taking a dog to swim? A lake or pond or creek without strong currents. He enjoys water.

His name is Einstein and he is loved.

Moved from Florida and I’m missing the beach… any chill rivers/lakes in Evansville to just sit and unwind?

Are there any rivers or lakes in the area where you can just sit by or walk and enjoy the scenery—more so just sit and relax? Is it open anytime, or are there certain times when you can’t be there? I’m originally from Florida and used to being able to sit by the beach and unwind whenever I wanted. Are there any places like that in Evansville?

Update: I’m very aware where I am. And this not having beaches, obviously. I’m saying where someone who doesn’t have many friends, can go and just chill by a lake…

Best frisbee golf courses in the area?

My friends and I have just started playing frisbee golf for fun a week ago and we played at the state hospital grounds and then attempted mesker park. I was wondering where any other free or possibly paid frisbee golf courses are at.

Im referring to Chinese places and Taco Bell specifically. But any really. They always load me up and I rarely use more then a few if that. Then just end up in the trash. What a waste.

Visiting from GA and got a ticket for going 10 over in the left lane on the Lloyd. People I was visiting with told me this was extremely unlucky and an outlier. Is this common? Are speed limits that strictly enforced around Evansville?

Hi, everyone!

I’m a resident of the Tri-State area, and I have a bit of an unusual (but very rewarding) profession: I’m a Certified Cuddle Therapist.

I’ve noticed there’s often a lot of mystery and some misconceptions around what I do, so I wanted to pull up a chair and start a dialogue.

I’ve tried sharing my work in local groups before, but because the concept is so new to our area, my posts often get removed. I’m here to demystify the practice and explain how it helps people!

What is Cuddle Therapy?

It is a professional, strictly platonic, and non-sexual wellness service. Think of it as a blend of somatic practice and grounding exercises. We focus on consensual touch, boundary setting, and nervous system regulation.

A Space for Everyone:

I am proud to be safe and open to clients of all genders and backgrounds. I’ve invested deeply in DEI training and trauma-informed care because I want everyone to feel seen, respected, and completely safe in my sessions.

My Qualifications:

Certified through Cuddlist and trained with Cuddle Sanctuary. Cuddle Therapy is 100% legal in the state of Indiana. I am always working to expand my knowledge base and educate myself in ways that improve my ability and benefit my clients.

I practice out-call (I come to you) across Vanderburgh, Warrick, Henderson, and Owensboro areas. I also offer virtual-only sessions.

Accessibility & Mutual Aid:

My industry standard rate for in-person sessions is $80/hr.

However, I believe this work should be accessible to those in need. I offer "Mutual Aid" sessions on a sliding scale, limited to one session per client per month. You don't have to prove anything to qualify for those rates. I will not ask for proof of income or hardship.

I’m an open book! Whether you’re curious about the science of oxytocin, how I stay safe as a practitioner, or what a session actually looks like, feel free to ask me anything!
