How important is this step? I'm just trying to hone my technique. I always usually just pour the pulled naptha into the tray and straight into the freezer. The tek I follow (STB) does specify evaporating with a fan until cloudy before freezing.

How important is this step and what does it do? I usually omit this step for practical reasons. Shared accommodation so don't want a tray of smelly stuff evaporating all day. Plus, my location means bad weather. The one time I did try this I set it up near an open window and rain got into my product and ruined it.

I know most teks specify overnight or 24h. And I suppose it depends on how much liquid/how cold your freezer is. But in general?

Do you find that it's usually done all it's going to do after a certain period?

The tek I follow is quite old. It's a STB tek but with no mention of salt. I'm seeing a lot of people using salt these days on these subs. How essential is it and what does it achieve?

Just testing my method. I've just put the tray into the freezer. Five pulls of 50ml for a total of 250ml.

Is it really this simple? Watching a video is so much easier to understand lol. Id imagine this method maybe just doesnt yield as much, due to it being seemingly simple compared to what ive read about extractions elsewhere?

Mix with a basic solution

Let it sit

Pour naptha over it, gentle swirls

Put naptha in freezer and evap

I picked up several ceramic vapes from O2 and the learning curve is kicking my ass. I can’t seem to break through with them no matter what I do?

I use a Yocan Unipro 3.0 and it does fantastic with the CCELL TH2 line just fine. But I heard the ceramic vapes last longer and are just cleaner/more pure. I’ve adjusted the voltage around, everywhere from 2-4 and it just doesn’t seem to make a difference. I’ve had the same experience with all 5 I have, so I can’t blame the cart. It’s definitely me 😂

Any advice on my setup or what I’m doing wrong?

Made tea with an unmeasured amount of MHRB, added baking/washing soda in excess to the pan, and purposefully emulsified and pulled the mix with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. Murky pull. Trash or redeemable? Any advice is welcome unless it’s “use better materials”, as sourcing is a struggle.

Has anyone ever heard of somebody purposely emulsifying? I tried it. I shook the shit out of my jar with the naptha already inside, and I let it sit for three days to settle then I pulled it . It ended up coking out pretty nice. I don’t have picture to show, my bad. I’m just seeing if anyone has ever tried this method themselves.

Does anyone remember or take note of how much anyhydrous sodium sulfate norolinda recommended using in “the base in your product”to desiccate the nps after the water / brine washes? I’m noticing some potency loss in my carts and want to test if that will make a difference..

Can you re-crystalize with distilled water, or is heptane the go too? What ratio of warm heptane/ DMT will be best?

I am looking to get the absolute highest purity crystals I can, I find the process of making DMT just as fun.

So I came across some good deals on boro glass flasks, but they were used. There's some film on the insides of them (didn't take photos, sorry) so obviously I want to clean them first. What's the standard protocol for cleaning and sterilization? Will a run through the dishwasher suffice or is there more to it?
