Just finished up a 4 day course by Julia Bangert! This is the result of the course, I had a lot of fun and think I found my new art style I want to learn.

in need of a vial/cup/dipping container

Apparently I ruined a bottle of ink from dipping and in the future would like to withdraw some ink from my new bottle and use a separate container to dip.

I’ve kind of searched on this sub but feel like I might not be searching for the right thing.

What should I be using instead of the actual bottle of ink?

I have a few questions

1 would any of you use a bronze nib holder

If not why (probably the smell so that one I get)

2 would any of you use a "collapsible" nib holder like a travelers fountain pen but a nib holder instead?

If not why?

3 what types of nib do you recommend for such a thing?

Trying to get a feel for filigree with dip pens

As much of a pain as they are, they’re so fun to draw

New to dip pens - need some advice!

I am relatively new to dip pens. Bought me a Deleter set, Talens India ink and some heavy bond paper.

I prepared my nibs, and for a while it seems to go nice, but I keep getting, enough to be frustrating, ocassions of my nibs not holding the ink and spilling it on the drawing, ruining it completely. This is kind of desperating.

Would you reccomend I check my technique, the way I prepare the nibs, or point out common mistakes I might be making that could cause this?

Thank you

I currently have some worn out G nibs and I'm wondering if someone could help me out on what materials to grind, and how to sharpen its tines properly without it ruining them. If there are any readily available resources, please let me know.
