"Change the batteries" problem.

I found this old Canon Powershot A460 yesterday, and put newly bought EVEREADY AA batteries into it. But seeing this error everything looks fine in this CAM . I have also cleaned the battery components terminal inside and on camera door both using alcohol there is almost no corrosion, still can't use the camera. I tried so many times to turn it on but mostly it shows this error but eventually 1-2 times it turned on and even clicked 2 pictures with it at that time it shows low battery and after clicking pictures it can turned off showing the "Change the batteries" error . Can anyone help me with it ? Listing all possible methods to try .

Which one of these should I go for?

Hi y'all! I love taking pictures of my day-to-day life on my phone (s25 FE), it's very important to me. I recently found a camera my uncle gifted me as a kid in my closet and idk whether to keep it or trade it for a different one.

The model of the camera I own is a nikon d40 with a dx swm ed aspherical 0.28m/0.92ft lens.

I posted it on facebook and someone is offering to trade it for one of the following cameras: LUMIX LZ 40, Fujifilm S 1800, Nikon Coolpix L120, Canon Power Shot A 810 hd.

It's important to me that the camera I use is beginner-friendly, has good portability and ideally autofocus. It'll mostly be used to take pictures of my day-to-day life as mentioned.

Lmk which one of these is the best or if I should keep my camera, orrr if I should maybe sell it and spend a tiny bit more on a better one. Sorry if I used any wrong terms! Tysm for your help!
