native deodorant user looking to switch

I’ve been using native deodorant for a few years now and I love almost everything about it. There’s some pros and cons to this deodorant.

Pros: smells are good, they actually keep me from stinking, not too expensive, doesn’t irritate my skin. Cons: consistency can be weird, spreads like crazy if my armpit comes into contact with any material like a shirt or purse strap.

The main issue i’m having with this deodorant is the spreading. If i’m wearing a tank top or sports bra, there will almost always be white on the part of the shirt under my armpit, if I wear a tight jacket and take it off the deodorant is on there too. These are just two examples but it’s a constant issue. Now, some migration is normal for deodorant i’m not looking for a miracle but this one feels like it migrates abnormally.

So, i’m wondering if anyone else has had this issue with native deodorant and if they’ve found an aluminum-free brand that doesn’t do this. I’m open to sticks, creams, gels, etc. I understand that aluminum deodorants perform the best but I get perpetual rashes when I use deodorants with aluminum and i’d rather not go down that road again.

This is the only aluminum free brand i’ve tried before so please let me know your favorites!!

Secret clinical changed formula

Did secret deodorant change formula? I used the stress one for 72 hours now it’s 100? Wouldn’t that increase irritation? Has anyone tried it? I had a problem with deodorants not working until this one did, I’m scared to try the new one. I looked into the ingredients but now it seems it will be less dry since it doesn’t have kaolin clay picture 1: (72 hr formula)
Picture 2: (100 hour formula)

Best men's deodorant that lasts all day?

I've tried so many damn kinds of deodorant. Right now I have old spice, one with aluminum, one without. Both last around 6 hours and then give me this weird not BO smell but it's not exactly a "fresh" smell.

What lasts all day?

Has anyone with really stubborn body odor tried Donna Karan Cashmere Mist deodorant/antiperspirant?

I feel like I’ve tried literally everything people recommend, and no matter what, I still end up smelling like flipping onions super fast. I used benzoyl peroxide, Hibiclens, witch hazel, basically anything you can think of, and I’m honestly desperate at this point.

Is Donna Karan actually worth trying for strong odor/sweating, or is it overhyped? If you’ve dealt with this kind of issue, what finally worked for you?

Anxiety Sweat & Pilling in a tropical climate

Hi I'm 15M living in the Philippines and as you know we are possibly one of the most affected countries by global warming, thus the 40° heat during the afternoon.

Now, as a guy, I know I naturally sweat a ton and I have tried SO MANY antiperspirants and deodorants,

namely, Dove Men Deodorant Spray, Old Spice Captain Bergamot/ Wolfthorn/High Endurance/, Milcu, etc.

I'd say I have a pretty good shower routine

I use a silicone body scrub (w anti bac)!and a wash cloth/exfoliating gloves

Furthermore, I also ordered/ useDeos Pills from TikTok, Witch Hazel and Betadine.

Even after all that I still feel gross and stinky when I sweat just a little, which is sadly a domino effect leading to more sweat when I get anxious from my sweating...

Should I just get Xanax to relieve my anxiety, since I can't afford Botox for my pits.. Pls recommend an actual strong aluminum antiperspirant, I'm desperate and I'm entering 11th grade this June and I don't wanna live down being the smelly kid

TLDR: I've tired many deodorants and antiperspirants, and they don't work on me. I'm always anxious Abt going outside and interacting with ppl, thus, I sweat. Now, I've asked my friends and relatives if I stink or not, and they all said no, now I know that I do end up stinking if I sweat a bucket load, but they're all to shy to say to my face. PLS RECOMMEND A GOOD ANTIPERSPIRANT

DO NOT BUY CARPE. SCAM.

Long story short I purchased. Got subscription despite swearing up and down that I didn’t enroll. Fast forward to now being charged $65 for more deodorant that I do not want. It also did not work for me. I am so bummed out because I sweat like crazy, and was really hoping for a product that actually works. My only struggle is sweat STAINS, not even a smell or anything, but staining. I sweat even when I am not hot, which is infuriating. I actually run cold overall. ANYWAYS, decided to be brave and treat myself to a new brand, what could possibly go wrong!? Yeah NO. They are horrible. Do not buy. The product itself sucks????? It crumbled everywhere and made a huge mess. I will say the scents are nice but that’s IT. I am now fighting with customer service to try to make 100% sure that I will not get any charges going forward. I really think I might just cancel my debit card, though. I do need a new one anyway, but I shouldn’t have to go to such extremes. So I plan to bash their brand anywhere that I can because I am so infuriated. Came to this page and immediately saw other posts talking badly about the brand and felt validated right away lol.

Deodorant recommendations for odor control and sensitive skin?

I’ve used dove for men for the longest time. But it’s just not cutting it anymore. By 10am-12pm I can smell right through it.

I do NOT like antiperspirants and only want deodorant. All the old spice and deodorants with aluminum burn my skin and give me a rash.

I work as an electrician, constantly in hot attics or outside (live in the humid south) so I sweat a lot. I don’t mind being sweaty, but if I’m at a customers house and I smell bad then it’s uncomfortable for everyone lol.

Any sensitive deodorants that actually hold up and have good odor control?

PS my work shirts are black so I’d prefer non white deodorants so it doesn’t stain. But it’s not a deal breaker

Thanks in advance

Deodorant smell

This has been a long term struggle for me. Even with the best deodorants, I have had a trouble of smelling like deodorant even with non scented ones It smells like weird and like a chemical smell and obviously people can smell it on me. And I’ve had this struggle since puberty it’s been 2-3 years now and it’s ruining my life. If there’s anything you can help me or tell me to do please do not be afraid to write it. Aswell as I’ve followed every anti bacterial cleaning strategy people have told me on this app. Aswell as every deodorant they’ve told me would work and it hasn’t obviously. So if anything please feel free to say.

I have used Native deodorant for yearssss. It worked for me, I was a fan & the price wasn’t horrible. Either my body chemistry has changed, or the deodorant has. I started getting the good ole burns under ONE of my pits after never having this happen. Extremely painful as many know & it becomes raw. I have a giant stock of Native deodorant (sadly) so figured I would give my pits a break, but after returning when my armpit healed, I just burned it again, & now its both. I was using 7% glycolic acid on them in the interim, it helps with smell but isn’t ideal since its sticky feeling. I see a lot of people saying burns happen due to baking soda, so I’m looking for a good deodorant without baking soda, & preferably not aluminum either as I’ve been using natural deodorant for a while. The screenshot is what I’ve been using the past three days now (bought it from EWC when I got my pits waxed) but it is balling up in my armpits, which is horrific but it isn’t burning me!! Thoughts on Primally Pure? i’m not a deodorant pro or know of anything else

Sorry this is my second post asking about deodorant, but I have a 6-hour exam tomorrow and need to find a deodorant that won’t embarrass me lol 💔 ( since I can’t go to the bathroom and wash it off and reapply) but I was wondering if I should try the men’s Degree UltraClear since the women’s Degree UltraClear made me smell like onions (I think it may just be my bo now 💔). I tried both the spray and the stick together and it didn’t work out for me.

Let’s take a break from Deo recommendations and ask What Deo/antiperspirants are y’all using and why?

I’m using the Degree 72 hr sheer powder spray antiperspirant. I wanted to take a break from solid stick.

Carpe will scam you every time

I bought 1 stick of Carpe about a year ago. Didn’t realize I had subscribed. Once I received my second stick I was like, oh my bad. I should have been more careful. Didn’t need it but whatever. I canceled online. A month later I get a third stick. I complained to customer service and was not given a refund. Ok fine, at least the deodorant works.

I tried of bunch of other deodorants after but nothing really worked for me. So I came back. This time I was careful NOT to select recurring subscription at checkout - I know better now, right?

Wrong. I logged in to make sure and what do you know, I’ve been auto subscribed again. Went through 5 cancellation screens for each product.

Customer service is trash. Honestly, even if it works it’s the most frustrating experience and I want to warn people that even after years they’re still in business and still scamming people.

Truly makes me wonder if their ingredients are actually safe or if I’m straight up poisoning myself with it. They lack integrity. Just don’t do it, you will be frustrated.

So here’s my deal. Within the last few years, I’ve developed a severe sensitive skin situation. I’ve gone pretty much fragrance free on everything from Naturium Sensitive Skin Body Wash to Vanicream Lotion and Moisturizer. The only thing I haven’t found a solution for? Deodorant/Antiperspirant.

I used to be able to wear Dove, Secret, Old Spice. All with fragrance. All without issue. I’ve tried Native, Lume—they still give me a reaction.

So I naturally made the switch to unscented. Vanicream worked for me for awhile, but eventually my body got used to it and my BO would overpower it within the span of a 50 minute yoga class.

So I switched to Almay Gel. One of the most highly recommended brands on here for sensitive skin. Three days after I started it, I noticed that my armpits were itching even more than usual. When I looked in the mirror I was horrified by the red ring around both armpits. It burned my skin and took weeks to repair. Wasn’t able to wear a bra comfortably or any kind of deodorant for A WEEK. The skin is still discolored—a darker shade than my pale skin tone.

Finally, I settled on Ban Unscented. Ban has really worked for me for the last few months, but just like with Vanicream, I’m finding myself in the same situation where my body overpowers it within a short workout. Once my BO breaks through, no amount of reapplication seems to help.

I’m at a complete loss here. It would make me feel better to hear if anybody else has gone through this and what they recommend (other than patch testing, which is looking more and more likely to end up on my to-do list this summer). Ugh.

Did the active antiperspirants ingredient in deodorants change widespread?

I thought it was aluminum (something with a z?) I tried Carpe while pregnant because nothing else worked. It worked really well but I got horrible itchy the where I want to rip my skin off (that happened as a symptom of pregnancy with my first too but so didn't think anything of it until after my baby was born and the itching continued) I stopped using Carpe and went natural for a while so it could heal. Then I tried using regular like Dove deodorant before used to be pretty gently but it still keeps happening every time I use antiperspirant. I think everything I see now says aluminum sesquichloryhydrate. Are there still brands that use the aluminum z something?? I need antiperspirant over the summer but I can't find anything to try that doesn't make me want to rip my armpits off.

Which is better for hyperpigmentation ?

I've been struggling with dark armpits and body since puberty. Recently, I started using glycolic acid on alternate nights and apply Nivea Black & White antiperspirant in the morning before going out. I want to know if it will make my armpits darker instead of whitening them. Also, I bought Degree UltraClear Invisible; can you tell me which is better, this or Nivea? I'm also using benzoyl peroxide wash for armpits.
