A family member has been struggling for the past couple of years with their eye: red, itchy, constantly running. They saw an allergist and found no allergies. He sent them to phthalmologist for “dry eye”. The ophthalmologist prescribed eye drops for dry eye and sent them to eyelid specialist. They've used the drops and after a month no change. Eyelid specialist checked and said it's not dry eyes as ducts are working fine. Looking for recommendations for ophthalmologists for a second opinion since the issue hasn't gotten better.

Denver’s annual emergency siren test on Wednesday will make a bunch of you ask ‘What’s that noise?’
denverite.comSafe Secluded Places to Relax?
I (25F) have been going through it and my nervous system is overloaded and shot. Just one of those times where it feels like the universe is hitting me from every angle and takes all my money from me.
I just wanna get out. It’s been so beautiful outside lately I’ve been really enjoying drives around town with my windows down and my music blasting. But I want to go somewhere by myself where I can just be in nature and not have to worry about someone sneaking up on me. The likelihood of something like that is low but definitely not zero. Obviously I can go to the mountains, but I’m a hiking newb and would prefer to not have to drive too far. Maybe some nice parks, walking trails, etc. I also have anxiety and a little bit of paranoia surrounding strangers… specially men. I’m not from here I’m from a very small town in the midwest and don’t have much experience going out by myself.
I just wanna be at peace for a day and leave the real world behind for a bit. And get a tan. Thanks!
Hi! I recently came across this page and wanted to introduce myself 😊
I’m currently seeking a front desk/admin role in the med spa industry here in Central Denver, and I’m really looking for somewhere I can grow and stay long-term. I’m super passionate about skincare, beauty, and helping people look and feel their best—it’s something I genuinely love.
I bring 5+ years of experience in customer service, sales, and marketing, and I pride myself on creating a welcoming, polished experience for every client while staying organized and efficient behind the scenes.
I would absolutely love the opportunity to be part of a team like yours and contribute in a meaningful way. If you’re hiring (or know of anyone who is), I’d love to connect!
Thank you so much!
Emily
Hello, I have 8 years of experience in Marketing (decisioning, personalization, CRM) and would like to move into product management, I feel like I’m not qualified to make this career pivot with my current skill set and am looking into the certification for product management from the Wharton school of business to supplement my marketing experience. Will this help me land a PM job? I should add that I’d like to leave my current company for my next role.
Also those of you who made a career pivot into product management, how did you do it? Any advice would be super helpful.
Hair stylist for Irish curls
Hi all, I’m looking for a hair stylist preferably in cap hill or cheesman area, that specializes in Irish curls/curly under layer or shags. I haven’t gotten my hair professionally cut in probably 10 years and style my hair max 2x a month so I’m looking for a stylist that will help me accentuate the curls I have and make my hair look better and “styled” even when it’s not, and I’m thinking of doing a shag/messy wavy cut. Thanks in advance :)
23F visiting Denver May 31-June 9: looking for local recs, LGBTQ spots & people to explore with :)
Hey everyone! I’m 23F and I’ll be in Denver from May 31 - June 9 for a conference.
I’d really love to meet some people to hang out with and explore the city while I’m there :)
A bunch of things I’m hoping to do:
- explore downtown + different neighborhoods
- museums (science/history, but also art)
- parks, walking around, bookstores, good food, etc.
- maybe go down to Colorado Springs to see the Olympic & Paralympic Museum
- catch a Rockies game
- maybe tour Empower Field
- watch WNBA games or women’s sports somewhere (women’s sports bars do not exist where I’m from)
- check out gay/lesbian bars and any Pride events going on since it’ll be June
- honestly down for almost anything fun locals would recommend
I’m mainly just looking for cool/chill people to explore with, grab drinks or food, walk around, go to games/events with, etc.
I’m not really trying to use dating apps (don’t wanna pay to change my location for one week lol), so I figured Reddit might be better for finding friends/community or clues on where to look next to find cool people (other subreddits, Instagram, etc.)
I have also never posted on Reddit so let me know if I did anything wrong!
If anyone has:
- food recommendations
- favorite parks/neighborhoods
- museum suggestions
- women’s/LGBTQ spaces
- a friend group willing to adopt me for a day
- or just wants to hang out while I’m in town
Feel free to comment or message me :)
Trendy shorter cuts for fine/thinning hair?
Looking for a stylist that loves to cut fine and thinning hair. I’m hoping for someone who skews a bit more trendy (shaggy messy bobs with more modern layer patterns) that won’t leave me looking like I want to speak to the manager. My hair is straight and I haven’t dyed it in a decade. Really just looking for someone who can make the cut the focus without adding color dimension. I’m in Cap Hill twice a week for work and located very far west the rest of the time, so west of Colorado Blvd and south of like, 44th would be ideal.
Denver dating apps feel exhausting so I built something different.
No endless swiping.
No fake energy.
No pressure to be perfect.
Just real conversations, good vibes, icebreakers, and a fun way to meet people around Denver.
I’m building this locally and currently offering FREE subscriptions for women while the platform grows.
Features I’m working on now:
- Icebreakers
- Intent Rooms
- Better conversation flow
- Less awkward starts
The goal is simple:
Make meeting people feel fun again instead of draining.
If you’re in Denver and want to try something new before everyone else gets on it, comment or message me and I’ll send the link.
No pretense. Just fun.
Let’s go.
Makeup application/artist recommendations in the South Denver Metro Area (in Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree)?
Looking for something affordable. I was considering Ulta/Sephora, but I have heard mixed things about the outcome of these. Would love to hear any recommendations, as I'm someone who doesn't wear makeup often/doesn't have much experience with makeup application.
Seeking Denver General Staff from July 1991
I’m getting older, and I have always wanted to thank the people who saved mine and my baby’s life after a car accident, on June 30 of 1991. My son was born on the 4th of July, 1991 while I was 17 and in the ICU. I was on a ventilator, and the Respiratory Therapist had to hand bag me for almost an hour. I don’t remember much, but my R.N. mom was there, and she was my memory from that time, but she’s gone now. We’re from Alaska, and there just happened to be an (I believe) Asian, male Resident there, who had been a Medical Student in our tiny hometown (God is so good!)!! Unfortunately, I don’t remember any names, but I remember the human connections I felt from not feeling like just another patient. I felt they actually cared that we survive and thrive. Plus, I know some O.B. nurses must have gotten attached to my preemie son, since he spent the first month of his life in the NICU. He’s 6’3” now, and is such a sweetheart. Please help me find these people, internet! I suspect my mind won’t be sharp for much longer, as the effects of the TBI seem to be getting worse, or I’m just getting old!
