Found this special wrench. I'm a plumber now! 😆

Found this special wrench. I'm a plumber now! 😆

I got this minutes ago. I didn't expect this to show up, I was just farming for legendary weapons. Last time I found a unique weapon, it was 2 days ago (Home Run). And like all of my weapons, I'll upgrade, duplicate this a few times, and craft variations of this. 👍🔥

POV: You’re a People Pleaser

idk why, but I thought the thought of Purna really wanting to help her was funny 😅😭

Realizing I've been playing the game wrong...

So, I love this game. I've done a bunch of playthroughs (especially with Dani, and recently a lot with Amy. She's secretly OP). The first time I ran through it, I remember being super interested in the storyline, and remaining pretty focused on that. I did a few side missions here and there (usually when I wanted to go for better gear), but ignored a lot of them. After seeing that everything stays leveled for your level, I always figured "screw it. Go back at a high lvl so even the crap rewards can sell for more". It just recently dawned on me that there were probably a few interactions I missed out on, this way. Well, I'm currently doing my first Bruno playthrough friend. So, I decided to play through this one like it's DI1 (at least, earlier in the game). Do everything available, as it becomes available. Doing this, I'm realizing I missed SO MANY dialogues and NPC interactions!!! I feel so cheated!! Fortunately, most of my current characters still have NG+ to start. But, the others are going to have to do a playthrough like this so I can get all of their interactions too!

About "The Boat Incident"

So, after re-listening to Sam B and Curtis talk about what to name Sam's gun, and him going through everyone, I realized a couple of things. 1 all of the OGs survived. When he talks about Jin (who he spent the least time with aside from maybe John), he talks with a sadness and says "this time I'll get you out of here". That kind of sadness isn't present when talking about the others. Plus, his "he'd never let me hear the end of it" line about Logan implies they're still in contact to some extent. But, he also says that Purna hasn't spoken to him since the boat incident. Which, as we all knew, definitely involved some zombies on that boat... Of course, there's the likelihood that someone had been bitten and we just didn't know. But, there's a more interesting possibility. What if it was our fault...? We went out and killed zombies in DROVES. We got covered in their blood, and thus, the virus. We then casually went back around these non-immune survivors regularly, without a thought or care. Potentially releasing spores/cells into their safe zones. If so, and the survivors realized this, it would absolutely explain how a group that became like a family through trials of blood and tears ended up drifting to far apart that Sam seems to try to avoid talking about them.

First games with mods?

I do miss Dead Island 1 and Riptide, those were my childhood. I still really wanna know how the full version Dead Island 2 would've been like from that other team, although there's a dev build for it which it kinda does give me old Dead Island vibes, and that's what I miss, I mean it was supposed to be released years ago anyways so that's for the vibes as well, but man I wanna know if anyone can suggest some good mods for Dead Island 1 and Riptide???

Need Co-op Partners for my achievement run

I am attempting a completion run and while it is easy to hop in random lobbies I will definitely need a group on the same page to knock out some of these achievements. Here are the achievements I am hoping to complete:

Originality - play in a co op session with all 4 different playable characters. You just have to join the lobby as different characters and it will pop. Somewhat difficult to do naturally

Ménage a trois - complete 5 quests with a group of 4 players. This one can be done under an hour but it’s hard to find full lobbies

Wave and smile - play any arena in co op. Will pop automatically when attempting the following achievement

Morituri te salutant - survive 30 consecutive waves in Arena with atleast one co op player. I would need atleast one person to play with that is decent and not a troll or leaves halfway through.

I’m around level 40 as I just did my first solo run. I’ll be online later tonight around 8pm ct if anyone is interested. Shoot me a message and I’ll add you

Underappreciated weapons

I feel like legendaries get almost all of the end game focus. But, there are some absolutely BROKEN unique weapons. Especially in Sola. The Heavy Metal is not only the most badass looking weapon by a wide margin (it's an axe, that's an axe.... If you don't understand why that already makes it God tier, we can't be friends), but has the savage fixed perk which makes all heavy attacks do powerful explosions (use it with Dani, and you'll feel like a true rock Goddess). There's the Initiator from neighborhood watch (fixed skilled perk, superior grade, available in your first playthrough. For a heavy attack build, it's nearly unbeatable). The Malibu nights(tick) from PROs rewards has the fixed precision strikes perk (combined with hard and fast, restoring, and honed, you have a setup for an infinite stun lock using ground pound, that increases damage constantly). As much as I love some of the legendary weapons, a lot of them have a fixed perk on them that just feels out of place on them (ex: the brutalizer. I main it on Amy, and love it's maiming capability. But, I genuinely don't think I've ever bothered with trying to utilize heavy attacks for the contagious perk. Especially when you can just throw disarmer on it and weaken everyone without a setup for it)

Hello I need help

I bought the game a bit back. I just started playing and I have about five hours in. After the part where the red hair girl is being kidnapped by the monster I decided to enter an underground banker near location, six on the map. The problem is that it’s massive and I’m not that well equipped to go through it. Am I on the wrong path?
