Scammer caught.

Scammer caught.

I have no idea when or where this happened. But interesting none the less. I wonder why the customer is able to cancel after the order was placed. This is awful for the merchant and Dashers who were already driving there.

Free lemonade at Raisin Canes

Does anyone else use the free drink hack at Canes? Basically since you have to pay for it using the red card the system activates the red card for a little bit more than the total will be so it can account for different location pricing. You can add a large lemonade to every Canes order and it will go through just fine. I’ve been doing this for years and I’m just wondering if anyone else does it 😂

Save the lectures I don’t care about taking a few bucks out of DDs pocket every chance I get.

Litterally delivered to a multi milliondollar mansion last night...

Litterally delivered to a multi milliondollar mansion last night... it was a 1$ tip! Wtf is wrong with people? I took a mediocre one 10$ for 7miles because it was in a decent neighborhood at 1am and I was getting very little! It was 2 orders ofcourse the first one was a high middle class house 1$ tip from them then I drive into this complex with mansions and delivered to a huge one! When I looked at the tip both houses had only tipped 1$! Are these people not afraid somones gonna see that tip and do something bad to there food? Because Im a Christian and wouldn't but boy oh boy was I steaming! The thoughts were def going through my head! Can only imagine what somone who did not try to be a good person would have done! I mean its not like a sticker really protects there food. 🫤

Well...This is a First for Me...

Picked up an order from Taco Bell, and brought it to a hotel, but the room number was nonexistent. So I called the customer, and asked if this is the correct room, he sounded puzzled. But then, he apologized, saying it was the wrong hotel. I asked where, he said, "Too far gone from the address provided. Make the drop-off and enjoy it." So...I got a free dinner out of it.

Let this be a lesson in double-checking your address first on the Doordash app or whichever restaurant app uses delivery before you place an order.

Identity Verification

Hi everyone first post here so I apologize for any confusion.

About a month ago I tried to sign up to dash. I regrettably put my social in incorrectly and my account was deactivated. I attempted to appeal, immediately denied. Phone support told me to kick rocks and I cannot seem to get in contact with anyone who can help me with this.

If anybody can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

Angry Bird

I went to deliver Baskin Robins to an appartment and this bird was walking where I was trying to deliver, it made an angry yell at me. I turned on my camera and took pics and a video.

Podcast suggestions

As the title says, I'm looking for suggestions for podcasts to listen to on my dash! Any genre is fine, but I listen on Amazon Music. (Some podcasts will tell you "you can listen wherever you get your podcasts.)

Living in a cherry picker's Paradise

It turns out that, in my home zone, you can keep platinum status with zero points in AR as long as you're good enough at the rest of your job

DUI PLEASE HELP

I’ve been working for Uber Eats for about 2 years and occasionally DoorDash, in may I got a dui off the clock. I know it’s bad and I never did it again. But I still was ubering and on Sunday I got banned from uber. I checked DoorDash and I’m still able to dash. I know I’m cooked but how often do they do background checks? How much time do I have to find another job?

I would have been happier with no tip

I accepted the Rainbowl order because it was close. The Szechuan order came in while I was waiting. I dropped the ramen order off first and saw the breakdown of the pay. $0.48 tip. And this delivery was to one of the ritzy neighborhoods! The Szechuan order went to one of the more run-down areas. Just proof that there are exceptions to every demographic. The big houses with a Tesla and Range Rover in the driveway does not guarantee a good tip. Logically, I know this, but seeing the proof still makes me grumpy.

Different app layouts?

This might be weird or oddly specific but I’m wondering if anyone else had experienced the same. My dad dashes full time, I dash every once in awhile and I used to do it a lot more back in 2022. For the longest time when we dashed we had it display “hot spots” we can drive to and we can navigate there, and the dasher preferences tab would show two tabs and one says “more ways you can earn”. Don’t remember when but somewhere along the way DoorDash had updated it and the dasher app had a unified preferences tab, and during the dash the layout appears different and doesn’t show hotspots anymore.

I completely forgot what the old one even looked like but my dad dashes everyday, all of a sudden today he gets the old layout back, but it happened on and off, his morning started with the new layout, he went home to eat lunch and when he came back out it was the old layout. Seemingly with no changes to the app, no updates, just opened the app back up. We have been able to replicate it on his phone a few times but nothing consistent and no pattern or series of steps that causes it.

Now I’m curious about what everyone else’s app looks like currently? Mind sharing your preferences tab?

We are in Canada if that detail would make a difference. I’ve personally havent been able to see the old layout. Can’t tell if it’s a glitch or by design or what’s going on.

Zone is becoming less and less busy

Has anybody else experienced their usual or home zone becoming less and less busy? I started dashing again about 3 weeks ago and it seems every week the frequency of orders has started to drop off a hill. I’m in the metro Atlanta area and it seems my zone is the only one not experiencing near constant busy status. Tonight is the first time my zone has completely died off before midnight since… well, ever.
