I am crafting this red rose using the ancient Chinese technique called Ronghua, which consists on shaping pure silk to create the petals. This is still just a part of the finished piece, but it is looking good so far!

I comissioned this design to @gildedmothpatterns for my sister's birthday, she's got two kids called Arthur and Violet and I wanted to represent both of them in a cross stitch piece. I'm so happy with how this design turned out, and my sister absolutely loved it!! ❤️
