In light of recent events
That's why he's the goat, THE GOAT
Tier List
I tried my hand at a full, thought-through Tier List. Since CC in particular is so matchup dependant and a lot of the convicts fluctuates in their overall power.
This list is based on the strongest version of all the convicts.
I might make one later with different versions of the convicts.
S+
- No one else can compare to these 2. We even have VI admit that they're on another level.
S
- Definite #3 and #4. I see VI push Pete snd EC further than, and beat FM more often than not.
A+
- GIAB consistently loses to the ones above by being out-done in pure bs. He hard stat checks everyone below. Karmic Blade is a really hard one to rank. I honestly don't think anyone below can beat full gear R1 KB. Perhaps ICT and Monkey See due to their respective hax.
A
- This is the most non-linear tier imo. ICT is only at the top since I believe he would hypnotize and one-shot anyone below, ÷ Abyss whom I simply think he stat checks. Without his hypnosis he should be right above / interchangable with Tempest. Tomahawk and Beatdown are interchangable. I placed Monkey See below Abyss cause against such an opponent he is bound to fuck up due to his overconfidence imo. I think LH is at least narratively comparable to Tempest, but I do actually have a theory that he is stronger.
B+
- Is only a slight step below A tier. Scourge and Samoan are as close as can be. I put Karmic Blade here based on the facts that I: a) doesn't think he reliably gets the thumbs up in time, b) expect the opponent to just tank or evade, against anyone above him. Rawdog is close, but consistently loses against anyone above him, with a possible exception of Abyss. He stat checks anyone below.
B
- These 3 are somewhat close. Arm Thief gets a succesful hold or lock on Never-Ending and Firecracker more often than not. Firecracker being below Never-Ending mostly connects to his own statement.
C+
- These guys are a cut above the guys in C and are somewhat interchangable.
C
- Iron Turtle and Spider Bite are the weakest actual fighters, or Holy Scythe who has lethal offensive power snd decent speed.
D+
- I believe Geared-Up loses consistently to anyone above him, and stat checks everyone below.
D
- Either really mediocre fighters or too gimmicky to be any higher. AD has no real feats, but I hope a side story or character profile would give some insights to his overall capabilites.
God In A Box was missed potential (Convict Colosseum)
HE WAS ROBBED
God In A Box should have been the semi-finalist to go against Pete at least, he just met his kryptonite-- the only convict in the roster who could best him in the art of schizophrenic belief, and it was because of outside help from LiterallyH giving him shrooms, without that he would have stayed sober.
UNANSWERED IMPOSSIBILITIES
God In A Box had so much going for him, so much hype and his strength was revealed too soon and with that his defeat. But there were unanswered questions that could have been clarified and hype moments that could have carried over to the semi-finals! Even in Round 1 he had his backed turned against Geared Up and blocked the attack WITHOUT LOOKING AROUND. HOW did he time that right? HOW DID HE KNOW?
Does he have some sort of hyper-aware alter ego, a hidden side of him that is performing these impossible actions in his place? Because it's debatable if GIAB is even aware of the "how" of what he's doing, he just believes in himself apparently and that's enough. This part could have been carried over to the semi-finals, along with Pete actually kicking faster than GIAB's movements one time and maybe that would make GIAB doubt himself.
Lets not forget how in God's name he managed to be pulling Florida Man around like a ragdoll, and still not slip up. Based on what we know he is blitzing towards Florida Man and back, with every angle Florida Man turned GIAB was just pulling on him just a little bit-- is that not Top 3 feats in this series? It would have been so cool to see him versus Pete. And aye, extra style points and fame for Pete when he beats GIAB, a seemingly unfathomable and nigh-unbeatable opponent,
FLORIDA MAN
The manic strength in particular could have been a neat trait that could be shown later on to show that GIAB and Florida Man were not that different. Quarterfinals Florida Man actually be at least partially sober would have been more interesting in my opinion. I would have liked to seen Florida Man bring out Zui Quan and it actually messes up with GIAB a bit and he puts up a still entertaining fight. Respect on Florida Man's name, maybe the "kindred spirit" moment would still show up in a different way.
I would liked to have seen that fight end with Florida Man accepting that he has the drug problems and he has to change, that this mime was some sort of inspiration for him even with his "Weirdo ass strength" is what he might say. Maybe GIAB is doing one final act for the audience, Florida Man is laughing inside "Heh... you one funny muh'fucka..." and he passes out. Later he rejects the shrooms Literally Hitler gave him. "Good to see you've grown, my friend." Something like that
THANK YOU, PINAKANAKA
I can't forget to thank the author of this series. Truly, it was an honor and a joy to witness such a tournament exist. It was so good and I really loved the characters you made, especially the one I'm talking about now, really nice creativity. This post was made because I had to talk about the most prominent gripe I had with it- MY KING GIAB WAS ROBBED WE COULD HAVE HAD HIM VERSUS PISTOL FOOT PEAK. Anyways, thank you again, I'll come by next year's Colosseum. I wouldn't miss it for the world.
Tier List based around how VI does against the other convicts
There's a few if not several in the high diff tier he would probably use Elixir against, but is able to beat without it imo.
The ones in the "needs Elixir to win" tier I don't see him being able to beat in base.
Tiers are not ordered.
New Convict Colosseum chapter will be releasing this Saturday
Hey guys 👋 Sorry it took like 3 months lol, but the chapter is finally coming out. Just wanted to give a heads up, 'cuz I feel like there's a higher chance of accidentally getting spoiled when it just drops out of the blue.
I'll touch a little more on why it took so long in the actual chapter post, but mostly just been busy, among other things. So yeah, see you all on Saturday, hopefully! ✌️
Would the outcome of the final fight have changed if EC wasn't trying to die but to win?
Also wonder how much of a difference it wouldve made if he could control his "survival instincts".
Tier list of the CC R1 matches. Agree or disagree?
Since I finished to read the R1, here's my thoughts on the matches
Tbh, I think Beatdown vs BW isn't at the level of the other 3 but Beatdown is so GOATed that I have to place it here, plus all the dance stuff choregraphy is cool
Here are some trivia and statistics regarding everyone's favorite ROACH! (Contains spoilers for latest chapter)
He took 284 clean hits in total over the course of the 5 matches he participated in.
By comparison Pete took only 15 clean hits (9 clean ones to be exact, but clean or partially blocked 15 hits that dealt major damage), 13 of which were against El Cucaracho himself.
Florida Man, who the 2nd most amount of clean hits, took 106 (at one point vs LH, GIAB and Pete respectively he took a barrage which was hard to count properly).
That's a an average of ≈ 57 per match.
By rounds it went as follows:
- R1: 5
- R2: 44
- R3: 37
- R4: 63
- R5: 135
He evaded 65 hits in total over the course of the 5 matches he participated in.
That's an average of = 13 per match.
By rounds it went as follows:
- R1: 0
- R2: 0
- R3: 2
- R4: 15
- R5: 48
The amount of panels in his matches are 2.951 in total.
That's an average of ≈ 590 panels per match.
By rounds it is as follows:
- R1: 74
- R2: 248
- R3: 332
- R4: 592
- R5: 1.705
Meaning that R5 alone was longer than all his other matches put together. The same goes for Pete. The finals are also longer than all the 2nd-4th longest matches put together (the semi-finals matches and Florida Man vs. The God in a Box).
His failed attempts on his own life includes, but is likely not limited to:
- engaging the Mexican military
- shooting himself
- getting shot with a gun
- lethal injection
- mercenary sniper
- chained to a massive anchor and dropped into the ocean
- being "submerged" in concrete
- crashing a plane
Strongest CHARACTER in all of fiction you think all of the convicts minus the finalist can beat?
Let's rate all the matches! Day 1: 31st place (worst match of the tournament)
Now that the tournament is officially over, it's high time for another Community Tier List!
Tiers are merely just for show.
Most upvotes win!
It's funny how literally nobody that commented thought Pete would win lol, closest was someone's bracket having him lose in the semis to GIAB.
Someone PLEASE make this with Convict Colosseum characters
id do it but I can't draw for shit
for Thrag its gotta be El Cucaracho and the skull has got to be the Samoan with his tattoo on the cheek bone
Conquest gotta be Florida Man
and for the others I got nothing
James slander has left the lookism sub
I really like the inclusion of a silhouette where the Samoan would be standing in this panel
If Jack Grimm from absolute Batman took a fighter from cc to the kengan matches which one would he choose?
The subversions where actually crazy
Up until the end I never actually knew who would win.
That's just how good Pinakaka is.
