God In A Box was missed potential (Convict Colosseum)

HE WAS ROBBED

God In A Box should have been the semi-finalist to go against Pete at least, he just met his kryptonite-- the only convict in the roster who could best him in the art of schizophrenic belief, and it was because of outside help from LiterallyH giving him shrooms, without that he would have stayed sober.

UNANSWERED IMPOSSIBILITIES

God In A Box had so much going for him, so much hype and his strength was revealed too soon and with that his defeat. But there were unanswered questions that could have been clarified and hype moments that could have carried over to the semi-finals! Even in Round 1 he had his backed turned against Geared Up and blocked the attack WITHOUT LOOKING AROUND. HOW did he time that right? HOW DID HE KNOW?

Does he have some sort of hyper-aware alter ego, a hidden side of him that is performing these impossible actions in his place? Because it's debatable if GIAB is even aware of the "how" of what he's doing, he just believes in himself apparently and that's enough. This part could have been carried over to the semi-finals, along with Pete actually kicking faster than GIAB's movements one time and maybe that would make GIAB doubt himself.

Lets not forget how in God's name he managed to be pulling Florida Man around like a ragdoll, and still not slip up. Based on what we know he is blitzing towards Florida Man and back, with every angle Florida Man turned GIAB was just pulling on him just a little bit-- is that not Top 3 feats in this series? It would have been so cool to see him versus Pete. And aye, extra style points and fame for Pete when he beats GIAB, a seemingly unfathomable and nigh-unbeatable opponent,

FLORIDA MAN

The manic strength in particular could have been a neat trait that could be shown later on to show that GIAB and Florida Man were not that different. Quarterfinals Florida Man actually being at least partially sober would have been more interesting in my opinion. I would have liked to see Florida Man bring out Zui Quan and it actually messed up with GIAB a bit and he still puts up an entertaining fight. Respect on Florida Man's name, maybe the "kindred spirit" moment would still show up in a different way.

I would have liked to have seen that fight end with Florida Man accepting that he has the drug problems and he has to change, that this mime was some sort of inspiration for him even with his "Weirdo ass strength" is what he might say. Maybe GIAB is doing one final act for the audience, Florida Man is laughing inside "Heh... you one funny muh'fucka..." and he passes out. Later he rejects the shrooms Literally Hitler gave him. "Good to see you've grown, my friend." Something like that

THANK YOU, PINAKANAKA

I can't forget to thank the author of this series. Truly, it was an honor and a joy to witness such a tournament exist. It was so good and I really loved the characters you made, especially the one I'm talking about now, really nice creativity. This post was made because I had to talk about the most prominent gripe I had with it- MY KING GIAB WAS ROBBED WE COULD HAVE HAD HIM VERSUS PISTOL FOOT PEAK. Anyways, thank you again, I'll come by next year's Colosseum. I wouldn't miss it for the world.
