Got my first taste of Rogue discrimination in game.

Been leveling a rogue alt with guildies. Needed a tank for normal Blood Furnace, message a druid in LFG before inviting. He joins and says "I don't play with rogues unless they pay me" and immediately left. I would never pay, but I asked what he would charge, cause I was curious. Dude says "10g" I said "ah you're just broke broke." lmao. I've seen alot of rogue hate on here, but never in the actual game.

Give Us Tri-Spec. Dualspec is outdated and rudimentary.

Give us a third spec tab option and make it cost double the dual spec fee.

I would like to be able to make use* of all the gear I collect through raiding and not have to pay 50g every time I need to change roles for my guilds or pugs needs.

Would also give people the option of having a pvp spec/pve spec for the same specialization while also having a third spec that allows you to spec into a different role.

Tanking experience

Soooo.... reading the forums I realise I'm not the only one having a terrible time as a tank, but I still want to post this just to rant a little.

I used to play vanilla a lot back in the days, and I loved it but haven't really played since. Rolled warrior now on spineshatter because it's my favourite class. I have been mostly solo questing as fury, having a good time and enjoying the game. At lvl 66 I thought I would switch things up and tank some dungeons, all I have to say is wtf.

I mark every pull with skull and cross, tell people to kill skull first and then cross, does anyone care? No. Everyone does full dps to whatever mob they feel like making the tanking a lot more difficult than it has to be. The few times someone actually does CC a mob you can be sure that a few seconds later someone will AoE that mob out of the CC. Had a mage run in and spam arcane explosion on a pack getting himself pretty much insta killed, and then I get blamed for being a bad tank.

Not only are people terrible, but they are also rude af. What happened to this game? This is not at all how I remember my days playing vanilla...

I built an all-in-one guild management tool for WoW Classic

Hey! My name is Occ, I am an officer from WoW Guild Progress. Over the years of managing guilds I found myself building more and more complex Google Sheets, Discord integrations etc. until I spent a lot of time developing an all in one tool that integrates key functionalities of sites like softres.it, sixtyupgrades, raidplan.io, raidhelper and more: OXM.gg.

The application is currently in Open Beta and every user / guild can freely register if you already have your guild managed via Discord. It is 100% integrated into your Discord server and roles, no additional permission handling inside of OXM needed.

The system is also packed with functionality and logic that is not visible at first glance, so I am for sure still working on making the system better out of the box. Initially this was only used by Progress and I did not intend to make this public, so this requires you to setup a bit by yourself, but with a bit of reading and clicking you will make it. :)

Absence Calendar & Smart Splits

Players mark their unavailability, single dates or recurring. The auto-split or your manual rostering reads that data automatically, so your roster is already built around who's actually showing up.

Auto Split Builder Engine

Generates balanced raid splits factoring in class comp, role distribution, loot priority, and absences all at once.

Automated Boss Assignments

Set rules like "Feral tank boss, Paladin tank adds" or "this class handles interrupts on phase 2" and the engine fills out your entire raid automatically.

Dynamic Raid Maps

Assignments render as interactive visual maps, generated directly from your assignment data and updated in real-time as your roster changes.

Gear Planner

Phase-accurate BiS lists for every class and spec, slot-by-slot comparisons. Plan your upgrade path and share builds with the guild or community via import / export codes.

Soft Reserves with Gargul Export

Players pick their SR items via web directly on the raid/PUG. No separate service needed.

Loot Tracking

Full loot history with RCLootCouncil import support and automatic BiS acquired logic for characters receiving the items.

PUG Management

Public PUG listings with web signups and automatic Discord announcement sync.

Finance Tracking & Guild Bank requests

Receive Discord messages for approvals and manage your finances for your Guild easily.

Officer Board

Kanban task board for officers (kinda like mini-trello) assignments, due dates, and comments to keep everyone on the same page.

AND A LOT MORE BUT ITS GETTING TOO LONG ANYWAY ALREADY...

Any feedback or questions, ideally visit my Community Discord - but I will of course try to be available here as well.

Heroic Arc - Tips for last boss

I've been running guildies through for their TK attunements. This last boss is absolutely smoking my resto druid. I can't tell if he is bad or if the mind flay ability is that awful. I know it does a lot of damage, but how in the world are healers surviving it? I know quick reaction is needed by the heals if a dps gets it, but what is a heals supposed to do if they themselves get targeted?

I've brought hunters before to help on last boss and those runs do go a bit easier, but running so many through I don't always have a hunter avail.

Shamanistic Rage + Bladefist's Breath

Grabbed the trinket last night before bed and didn't realize until this morning how utterly mint this combination is: ~2 min shared cooldown full mana replenishment.

These two alone get the job done, and if the closest mob is squishy I can tack on strength + agil totems and crit my way to full mana in less than 10 attacks. Perfection.

Sometimes my warrior wont switch weapons?

Stance dancing, but sometimes it wont switch my weapons to shield and back?

I’m using a macro:

/cast stance

/equipslot 16 mainHand

/equipslot 17 Offhand

It’s getting really annoying trying to use spell reflection and it wont switch my weps randomly.

What am I doing wrong?

Spec for warrior levleing outland

Hi. I am thinking of boosting a warrior to 58 and wondering what spec would be best to start with considering the trash gear you get. I have Googled a bit but everyone says different things.

Is Death Wish + sweeping strikes the way to go? Dual wield or 2h?

Or should I go 2h and arms?

Any help is appreciated, thank you 🙏

Am I in the minority, preferring TBC to SoD for the future?

With all the buzz around Classic+ speculation, it feels like the most vocal/active people in this sub are pining for something like SoD.

To each their own, but am I in the minority in greatly preferring TBC to SoD? I dabbled in SoD, but the runes, expanded roles/abilities, etc. felt very gimmicky to me.

Pre-patch Classic and TBC, however, have provided the most enjoyment out of the game that I’ve ever experienced.

Personally, I’m hoping for something closer to TBC than SoD for the next real iteration of the game. But, I realize my perspective isn’t universal.

I’m curious what others are hoping for (and maybe what I’m missing about SoD).

question about pvp farming

I read in some other post that season is ending and recommended doing arena to get points so you buy weapons after the season ends.

I never did arenas before, so I'm not entirely sure how it works. I know I need a rating so I can buy weapons but what is the point of farming arena points now, don't they get converted into honor or reset altogether? so instead should be easier to just farm honor now?

Resistance Gear Prep for Druid tank, how much Frost Resistance?

Assuming post nerf raids, how much FR should I go for as a druid tank? I've read 174, but also see people going for 244.

I pug most of the time cuz life, hoping to be super prepped come phase 2 to piggy back off other guilds or pugs, hopefully it works out.

Any advice appreciated!

karazhan.bet - Be a Degenerate Opera Gambler!

When we do our weekly guild runs for Karazhan, we usually have a betting pool for which boss will show in each run. Managing it is kind of a pain, so I threw together a web app for us to use and figured the community could benefit from it if we aren't the only degenerate gamblers out there. No ads; just a donation button if you're feeling kind to offset hosting and domain costs.

karazhan.bet

Enjoy!

Need advice on TBC Arena Point resets and Marks of Honor usage

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice regarding PvP resource management in TBC Anniversary.

I hit level 70 on my Resto Druid a week ago. I currently have 5 pieces of the set + almost all PvP offset pieces, and I’ve just started doing yolo 5v5s for Arena Points.

With Season 2 just around the corner, I’m trying to figure out if/when Arena Points will be reset. Is it worth buying any pieces now (like an off-hand), or should I save my points for the new season?

Also, regarding Marks of Honor: besides buying offset gear, is there any reason to hoard them? Will they be needed for future items later in TBC?

I haven’t been able to find any reliable or definitive information on this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Professions for a Total Newbie Druid

Turtle WoW refugee - how to transition

TBC was my favorite expansion of all time. I quit first time around when TBC classic was released a few years ago, because of all the gate-keeping and it was impossible to get groups without gearscore addons, etc. I couldn't find a casual guild.

I beat TBC when it was retail. Our guild got stuck in black temple, but once isle of quel'danas arrived, enough of us got our catch up gear and went back and spanked illidan. I did it with 10 fps on a good day, clicking my abilities, as a ret paladin who didn't know what seal twisting is.

I do great damage now as a ret paladin, but people won't invite you without all these huge checklists worth of stuff, logs, etc. I gave up again this time around when leveling due to the constant competition for nodes doing professions, not being able to find a casual guild, and the bots/gold selling. It's like blizz doesn't even try.

I went to turtle not because it was free, but it had that old school mentality of "oh cool, lets just go explore this new content, and who cares if we don't have THE ABSOLUTE OPTIMAL route".

Now that turtle is dead, This is all I really got to come back and I'm too addicted to classic to quit. Has the community vibe gotten any better? I see on these forums bots are still at it and even worse, but is the gatekeeping over with since the initial launch rush just to... raid log... is over? Or will it still be impossible to group for stuff? How the heck do I find a guild that's laid back for long term progression, even into WoTLK when it inevitably comes back for another round. I just miss the nice people where crap was laid back. This game isn't that hard, again I beat it in my early teens clicking my damn abilities for heavens sake. Can I experience kara one more time or is getting a group near impossible?
