"There are singers, and there are vocalists. The best vocalists don’t rest on natural gifts, but instead use their creativity and vision to push their instruments where no one else could go. From Freddie Mercury’s range and Aretha Franklin’s swagger to Kendrick Lamar’s goblin tones and Tom Waits’ mad experiments"

"To generate our list of the top 100 vocalists of all time, we polled over 50 musicians, including Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of ’26er Steve Stevens, rising stars like Samia, Blondshell, and Kneecap, and established icons Randy Blythe, Mike Patton, and Linda Perry, plus many more. After we assembled the surveys into the spine of the list, our staff chimed in with more picks, mostly historical, to round things out. The final ranking is a curated perspective on the hundreds of names that were nominated."

So the interviewer asked Christina about new music and she literally gave us absolutely nothing. No album hints, no concept, no sound direction, not even if something’s coming this year.

At this point… what do you guys honestly think is going on? 👀
Do you think she’s secretly working on something or are we headed into another quiet year?

I thought at the time she went overboard a bit with the self tanner. But the look brings out her Ecuadorian side. Very beautiful and sexy

Edit: deleted, reposting with the actual photos

I was so lucky to see Christina at the Top of the Mountain Closing Concert in Ischgl (Austria) on Saturday. Open-air show at 2,320 meters in the snowy Tyrolean Alps, around 19,000 people on a mountain plateau under a cloudless blue sky.

She arrived by helicopter and got driven up to the stage on a big snow groomer wearing a full fur coat. Pure Hollywood moment in the middle of the Alps.

Setlist kicked off with Dirrty, Can't Hold Us Down and Fighter. Towards the end she played Genie in a Bottle, Lady Marmalade, Beautiful and Moves Like Jagger. Voice was honestly unreal, especially Fighter and Beautiful. Show production was huge, dancers, pyro, the works.

No encore though, she was off stage at 2:35pm sharp.

Sharing a few shots from the day, hope you like them.

Concert review (final try)

Christina Aguilera was the last artist on my concert bucket list that took over a decade to complete.

I was completely shocked she was coming to Oklahoma and was only a 2 hour drive away. She is now the most expensive concert ticket I've purchased, with tax it was over $320 and I was in the 9th row. The first row went for over $1,000!! Definitely milking the now adult fanbase; whomever came up with the prices.

I must say I couldn't help but notice her plastic surgery, it was so eye catching. She never had wide hips or a big butt back in the day. I remember being a teenybopper and thinking she seemed so confident and body positive and I remember her commenting about being petite and not built like ppl expect a celebrity should be. BE MINDFUL I've been a fan since the beginning and I'm paraphrasing a super ton. So it's sad that she is now like everyone else now.

Similar to Mariah Carey, I think Xtina should focus more on singing and not trying to be a performer. Not everyone needs to be like Beyonce or Taylor doing dancing and costume changes. That is not where she shines not seems to be authentic. She relied a lot on recordings and something else I couldn't help but notice is the fact that her backup singers were lip syncing the entire time plus Xtina did too a bit.

The "costume changes" were horrendous; she'd take a break and come back with a different accessory so you really couldn't call it a costume change but she took a break as if she did. These breaks were accomplished by her dancers doing sets; at least 20 minutes of the show were dance interludes. One time she came back with a pocket watch, then a cheap looking scarf etc

Her setlist was primarily her newest albums so I was displeased there wasn't more from her debut besides the medley of her hits. Surprisingly, "come on over" wasn't done which was disappointing. There were some parts where her high notes gave me chills so she certainly is still a great vocalist and her voice sounded as good as ever.

All in all, I am glad that I went even though it didn't end up being mind blowing (but then again, it had almost 30 years of anticipation to live up to). I would see her again but I wouldn't travel too much further nor would I pay such a high amount again.

Updated Website Layout and Images... Hinting at something coming??

She removed the Christmas in Paris (which tbh is about time) - but I am also hoping this means something new is on the horizon. Her last scheduled performance is September - so will more news comes after September??

Hate the photo but LOVE that she’s still my top artist

I’ve had a complicated relationship with Christina over the years, the voice is undeniable but with each album from Lotus onwards I’ve enjoyed less and less of her music. She was my first major idol I worshiped at 14 years old and songs from her debut, stripped, B2B and Burlesque are on constant high rotation still. So I’m happy she’s still in my heart of hearts even if I wish her music connected with me more in the later years and I’m still holding out hope for a Mariah Emancipation type era for her.
