I’ve had a complicated relationship with Christina over the years, the voice is undeniable but with each album from Lotus onwards I’ve enjoyed less and less of her music. She was my first major idol I worshiped at 14 years old and songs from her debut, stripped, B2B and Burlesque are on constant high rotation still. So I’m happy she’s still in my heart of hearts even if I wish her music connected with me more in the later years and I’m still holding out hope for a Mariah Emancipation type era for her.

It’s all over! Auditions in November, callbacks for all leads except Martha (she was perfect!), recast Paul Kelly twice after they declined their roles, 2 ensemble members dropped out but I learned from Legally Blonde and over cast. Fight choreographers, intimacy coach, 1 on 1s with every cast member and have them all fleshed out characters (we had more ensemble but can only fit 20 on here), weather warnings, illnesses, audience walk outs but all in all it was BIG FUN!

So proud of what everyone did and can actually say I’m proud of myself, such an iconic show to do and such and awesome payoff 💙♥️💚💛
