8wk PO before + after

I have more swelling in my right side than my left side, so when I post an ‘after’ from the right side, I sometimes get rude comments, and when I post a pic from the left side people go OMG who was your doc! So, quick little reminder to everyone on this sub: be kind to one another. 🤍 Debated stopping posting because of it, but lurkers will be lurkers and we’re all just here to share our journeys, right?
I got a steroid injection on my right side today, so fingers crossed!

2 vs 12 weeks progress post op

I'm about 12 weeks post op and feel like I've been seeing more progress recently. I have been having some banding and that seems to have decreased a bit. My jawline is slightly weak, so I don't think my results will be super snatched when I'm completely healed but I'm hoping it will improve a bit more as straight on it looks better, but in other positions I still get double chin easily.

My experience: I just got chin lipo today! + photos

I feel like I got a mini facelift of my lower face lol. I had my awake chin lipo 15 hours ago, I might have a good pain tolerance but pain was like 3 out of 10 for me. It was more of a gross feeling of listening and feeling something inside my skin pulling. I’m at my ideal weight of 133lbs but I still couldn’t get rid of this fat pocket. I only took one Tylenol and some antibiotics that were prescribed and I will wear my compression garment for a week 23hrs a day.

Edit: My dr is Dr Gardner in Plastics MD ❤️

~2 years post deep plane platysmaplasty + chin implant

Best decision I’ve ever made for myself. Prior to this- I had worked so hard for years to get in shape (290->200), only to be left with a terrible neck/jawline that I was self conscious about.

The MD is Dr. Berardi- Scottsdale AZ. He does amazing and appropriate work. Initially I had no intention of a chin implant, but he explained facial proportions etc and made the right move.

Good candidate?

I’m 41 and have always had a fuller face, even at a lower BMI. My main concern is my fuller lower cheeks from the front view, and secondarily some softness in my jawline/under chin area.

I’m curious whether chin lip will make an improvement or if procedures like buccal fat removal and/or a facelift might be needed (possibly in conjunction). I’m not trying to look super snatched or dramatically different — just a bit more definition and structure while still looking like myself.

Has anyone with a similar facial structure had good results? I’m 5’6” and 135 - I could probably lose 10 lbs of fat.

Got my Lymphatic Drainage Massage 4 days after Chin lipo, and I tell you, God didn’t prepare me for this (lots of fluid came out as well)

The doctor himself checked the small pockets and tried to drain a little bit of water under my chin, then afterwards, the professional lymphatic practitioner worked on my session. She was so good, letting me know what she will do to me before doing it, making sure I was comfortable.

She did tell me that it will hurt, because she had to put pressure on to prevent fibrosis, and omg I clutched on the plush! Next thing I knew, lots of fluid came rushing out, and she told me that it’s a good thing!

After that, she told me to do some chin exercise everyday in order to prevent swelling and all! But I plan to do the lymphatic massage again by the next 2 weeks.

Would it actually help?

Hey everyone, just for some context I’m 37, 6’3 and about 210 lbs
Been dealing with the double chin my whole life. Even when I got down to 185lbs it was still there.
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar profile and what your results where or if it would require more than just chin lipo.

I have a consult in Houston this Friday, but I guess I’m just trying to preemptively get some opinions.

Fully underestimated how much the compression garment would suck!

Day 2 PO and I can’t believe I have to wear this thing for a week! It’s causing me substantially more pain and discomfort than the surgery itself. My poor ears!

My surgeon gave me one of the ace bandage style wraps that goes over the ears. The pressure on my ears is awful. I’ve put some extra chunks of lipo foam above my ears to relieve the pressure which helps a little. It’s also making me clench my jaw in a way that causes discomfort and wakes me up. I’m ordering a mouth guard to mitigate.

I also bought one of the face wraps from Amazon that everyone in here has recommended. It has ear holes, but the head straps wants to slide forward on my face, meaning that it just tugs on my ears from the back instead of pushing them down. A lose-lose! I also feel that the compression isn’t as high or as even as the ace bandage from my surgeon.

This is mainly just a rant post, but also open to more recommendations if anyone has them! I wear glasses which only makes the ear pain worse. Would love to hear from others about tips and tricks that have worked for them.

Dr Singh in NYC

Has anyone seen him for chin Lipo? Just had a consultation with him, and I liked him a lot, but he was telling me he thinks best results will be from a “central neck lift”, where he also goes through the platysma muscle to suction the fat from underneath the muscle, whereas regular chin Lipo only suctions fat from above the muscle.

The price is $5K higher than a regular Lipo :O

I haven’t seen other dr offer this, curious if anyone did this or chose Dr Singh for chin Lipo

I feel like the post OP result isn’t good enough. What do you think?

I am actively losing weight but I’m too impatient so I did my double chin lipo. I am aware that I have to do it if Im near my goal weight, but my chin fat is so stubborn. My doctor told me that I have loose fat too.

Can you guys see the changes? I’m on Day 3 now. The after photo is immediately after the operation. Do you think he didn’t take enough fat? I have lympathic drainage coming up, and HIFU as well.

And I am in the midst of my weight loss journey as well.

God please someone talk me off the ledge. Photo on the left is pre-op and phot on the right is 2 months post-op. Now I know my surgeon took A LOT of fat out from under my chin, you wouldn’t even believe how much but now I feel like my jowls are worse 😭 has anyone else run into this? Is it swelling? I had a chin implant and rhinoplasty done at the same time and you can see my nose is swollen, but I’m so upset about the jowls!

T-2 days!! Feeling a bit anxious…

I’m finally getting my chin lipo on Thursday! As excited as I am, I’m also feeling pretty anxious, as I will be awake during the procedure. From what I’ve seen here the worst part is the shot, but I’m still nervous for that and the actual procedure. Does anyone have any tips to calm down? I’m also getting renuvion and I’m curious how that’s going to feel. Do you really feel anything during lipo? I’ll take any tips and advice you guys have!

Am I a good candidate?

It’s something I’ve wanted for a long time. I’ve tried the chin filler route and didn’t love the results.

8 hours post-op vibessssss

Had a fabulous experience with Dr. Caroline Min in Pasadena. Procedure was beyond easy but felt extremely weird. Indescribable and not comparable to anything I’ve felt before, but the pain was an absolute non issue. Slept most of the day away and woke up pretty sore but took my first round of pain meds and feelin good! Can’t wait to unwrap tomorrow morning and see what’s going on underneath 👀

Im am about to be three weeks post op and my neck looks like this. Wondering if the bumps and line are a normal part of the healing process? I have been massaging myself and by a professional. Also my right under my chin it is soo hard.
