[Hiring] Software Developers — Remote

Quick post — we’re bringing on a couple of devs.

We’re a small team, pretty laid-back, and we try to keep things practical. No heavy process, no constant meetings. Just people building things and helping each other out when needed.

Looking for someone with at least a year of experience who’s comfortable getting their hands dirty, building features, fixing issues, improving performance, that kind of work.

We’re not strict on stack:

* Could be frontend, backend, or full-stack

* Use what you’re good at (JS, Python, etc.)

* Expect to work with APIs, systems, and real-world problems

What you get:

* Remote setup

* Flexible hours (seriously)

* $27–$49/hour depending on experience

* Part-time or full-time, both are fine

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, send a quick intro and your location 📍

[Hiring] Senior Full-Stack Web Engineer | Next.js / TypeScript / Postgres | Remote/Hybrid | $170k–$220k

Powo Studios is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for backend-focused product work across our internal software portfolio.

Compensation: $170,000–$220,000/year Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM ET Location: Remote or hybrid, US time zones required Apply: powo.ai/careers

Powo Studios is the tech hub behind multiple B2B software products, including HealthPay and AthenaText. We build CRM, texting, calling workflow, insurance/health tech, dashboard, integration, admin, and internal business software.

This is not agency work. This is not a one-off website build. You would be working on internal products with real users, real revenue, and waitlisted customers.

Core stack

Next.js TypeScript React Node.js Supabase/Postgres Prisma Better Auth Clerk Tailwind Vercel Railway Python/FastAPI as a plus

The most important requirements are Next.js, TypeScript, and Postgres. You should be comfortable with backend-heavy product engineering, not just frontend UI work.

For Postgres, we want someone who understands RLS, triggers, raw SQL, schemas, permissions, and multi-tenant application design.

What you’ll build

SaaS dashboards CRM features Texting/calling workflows Backend APIs Admin tools Internal software Third-party integrations Multi-tenant product modules Bug fixes and production improvements

First 30 days

You’ll onboard into the HealthPay codebase, understand the architecture, clean up bugs, build UI pages and API routes, and ship a meaningful feature or module independently.

How we work

We use AI agents heavily in the dev workflow, especially Claude Code. You should be comfortable prompting agents, running parallel sessions, reviewing AI output, and using AI to move faster.

But you need to be able to engineer without AI. This is not a vibe-coding role. You will be asked advanced technical questions during the process.

Good fit

You can own features, make architecture decisions, write clean code, deploy production apps, communicate directly, and work in a fast-moving founder-led environment.

Hiring process

Application → $150 paid technical assessment → technical interview → founder call → 4-week paid trial → full-time offer.

Apply at powo.ai/careers.

I'll be upfront about where this project is because I'd rather attract the right person than waste anyone's time.

I'm a non-technical founder. I've been building an MVP using AI-assisted coding — Claude, Cursor, the whole vibe-coding workflow that everyone either loves or has strong opinions about. The result is a working prototype that does what it's supposed to do but is held together in ways that a real developer would probably wince at.

Here's what actually exists right now:

Domain secured. GitHub repo with real commit history. Supabase and Vercel partly configured. Core user flows are functional. The MVP is intentionally narrow — this isn't a complex product, it's a focused tool for a specific audience.

Here's what I need:

Someone who can open the repo, not run away, and turn what's there into something structurally sound and testable. Review and clean the existing code, finish the remaining implementation, tighten up the UX where it's rough, and get it to a state where real users can test it without things falling apart.

Based on estimates from Claude Code and a couple of developers I've spoken to, I think there's roughly 30–50 hours of work left including testing. I could be wrong in either direction.

What I'm actually looking for is someone who can think about the whole product, not just execute isolated tickets. The kind of developer who looks at an MVP and understands what it needs to cross the line, not just what the current task list says.

The app is being built for a Christian audience. That context matters for understanding the user base, the tone, and some of the product decisions. It's a plus if that's a space you're genuinely comfortable in.

If you're interested, DM me with a short intro, relevant shipped projects, your hourly rate, and honestly just whether this kind of end-to-end MVP work is something you actually enjoy or something you'd tolerate.

I'm not in a rush to hire fast. I'm in a rush to hire right.
