AC infinity tent vent prototype.

I have the prototype complete for my next light pollution solution. This won't block 100% of light but it's definitely sufficient for overhead lights in bedrooms and such. More than sufficient to prevent light leaks as far as reveg is concerned. Works on all new gen AC Infinity tents that I'm aware of. I have to make a few tweaks to some dimensions and add a couple features. Version 2.0 will do away with most the the velcro, utilize recessed neodynium magnets and have a top plate for rigidity and to cover the mylar on the inside of the tent flap . Once I get everything the way I want it I'll drop the files for everyone on Thingiverse and Makerworld.

Let’s Talk Roots and Overwatering

Hello fellow cultivators and thank you for being a part of this sub/community. I know we have mentioned about wanting to do discussions on various topics relating to cannabis cultivation. So I figured I’d get us started by talking about roots (as pertaining to soil as I am a living organics grower) and what happens to them as it pertains to overwatering. Through my years of cannabis cultivation and through experimenting, reading, listening etc I’ve learned that MOST cannabis cultivation issues arise from OVERwatering. This is in particular true regarding the root system. The roots are comprised of various parts, like our own circulatory system. The roots we see, are the “carriers”. Meaning, they are simply responsible for transporting water and nutrients up and down from soil to plant and back. However, the actual absorption of those nutrients is done by fine root hairs that grow off the main root(s), similar to the capillary beds in animals. For those hairs to properly function in a soil medium, they need to have the proper air:moisture:medium ratios. By overwatering, and disturbing that balance, the root hairs simply rot off and the plant is no longer to absorb nutrients efficiently. I hope the graphic helps. Please let us know what you think. Good luck to all our fellow cultivators!

Why do my auto seedling leaves keep curling? What to do?

Today is day 8 from sprout. I hope I’m just overthinking this. The first one looks way too curled downward, I’m not sure what to do, I’ve been keeping humidity around 60-65 percent (my humidifier won’t go any higher), I’ve been keeping the fans on, the only thing I can think of is that I didn’t ph my water in the spray bottle for the first 6 days, but I changed that yesterday, the waters previous ph was around 8.15, which I’ve since read is too high, so I brought it down to 6.7, will it sort itself out if I just keep spraying with the ph’d water 2-3 times a day when the top two inches of soil is dry? I lost two seedlings before this so I’m really hoping I can save these ones. I know I should be patient but I also wanna take care of any problems before they occur, any help is much appreciated, thanks.

I started indoors with a light…

I think she might outgrow my greenhouse even with constant topping… she sits in ~150liters of soil and was transplanted last month, hatched in February

White widow week 8. Still clear but Getting there

it should take one more week (up to two) to get there. nice trichromes already and the plant is still looking healthy even with yellowing crispy leaves

Is this Foxtail? Would that be a bad thing?

My plant started elongating on the tips. I was wondering if that was the start of a foxtail, and if that would be a bad thing. if yes, how do I fix it?

thank you all in advance and Happy Easter!!

Week 1 of flower. Dante's Inferno #7 S1 and Blueberry Sugar S1.

Bagged soil mixed with kelp, alfalfa, lime, oyster shell and metabasalt at transplant. Threw in some BioAg TM7 for microbes. No bottled nutrients, just KNF ferments, aminos, aloe, silica and humates. Top dressing with KIS Organics Bloom Booster. I have my eye on the BBS pheno with some OGKB-like mutations. She's definitely the outlier. Not a fan of a trellis in tents so I used garden wire and LST clips.

dad threw a bunch of weed seeds inside one of the plant pots lmao

now, just to start off, i’m not a cannabis cultivator by any means. i just have a regular lil garden 🤣 i’ve been watering my plants like usual, trying to revitalize them from a previous freeze. i noticed this weed plant from a baby, and i was very sure it would die off. my dad threw old bag seeds in the pot over a year ago and i forgot they were even there. but somehow, someway, this baby has survived extreme humidity, extreme/fluctuating temps, wind, heavy rain and much more in this coastal TX climate.

it’s been growing on it’s own with none of my help besides water and i even get lazy with that lmfao. but i’m sure it will die eventually… or maybe not? 😙

im not too sure what im doing wrong or missing.

Hello all, recently started my first grow after moving and im kinda stuck. These burn/deffeniecy marks are showing up on random leaves throughout the plants. Some more then others. Some info down below what im doing:

Nutrients: anbessa organic nutrients at 6.2ph after mixing.

60% RH

70f

1300ppm CO2 when the lights are on.

Feeding every 2 days or so when I water.

Not using RO. Maybe chlorine burn or something?

Im using the recommended 3 tbsp to 5g of water when feeding veg brew.

Ive ordered gia green to hopefully save these guys as theres more info on making it into a slurry for the plants to feed.

Any help would be awesome! 😎

What "Rules" of growing do you regularly break?

ive been thinking about this a lot lately. Obviously, there are infinite ways and methods of getting from seed to harvest and everyone prefers all sorts of different methods and techniques. But there's also a bunch of "rules" for growing that are generally followed and believed to be true.

That said, im sure many of these are often broken with beneficial or at least non problem causing effects. So what typical rules of growing do you tend to break?

For me, I tend to defoliate my autoflowers heavily and pretty much constantly through stretch and flower, even though its said it could cause issues (it never does).

FIRST TIME GETTING THRIPS.

So as the title sais this is my first time ever getting thrips. ive had spider mites once too, but i think I just threw them away and started over and have never seen again. im growing in organic soil so im assuming thats where they came from cus ive started from seed, have never had them before, didn't introduce any new plants or had any visitors in my garden.my only guess is they so.ehow came jn one the the new organic amendments I added to my soil. defenatly a bit annoying cus I was just about to flip to flower but now im gonna have to deal with these guys first. ive purchased some doctor doom and done a foliage spray with that. I also have lots of the blue stickies to help with adults. ive now also added some diatemacious earth since I have a big bag from when I used to have chickens. I basicly covered the stems at bottom and tried my best to dust every leaf top and bottom. im gonna need to add some more to base of soil tommorow cus i had just watered and the surface was still bit wet. the damage from them was only on the bottom leafs where plant wasn't getting much light and everything above is nicely dark and green and healthy but I obviously dusted everything. they may look bad but I assure you its just the dust from DE. the very last picture is of one of the lower leafs that actually has some noticeable damage. at first I thought it was from too much humidity but then I took a closer look and defenately saw what was a thrip. from what I can see there arnt tons but there is some and I want to kill them off before flower cus obviously I will want to stop treatment in flower other than sticky pads and maby some DE on soil surface. Im also in Canada so im limited to certain pesticides. I think we do have a product that I can water in as well that is subsidy safe durring flower but I may also go pick that up as some extra reassurance that I can rid these guys quickly and effectively. Anyone else who has ever had thrips feel free to share some insight and what methods.or products you used that were safe and successful.
