Is this normal?

Is this normal?

Is it normal to enjoy caffeine more than smoking marijuana and getting drunk, as in normal i mean is it common? Caffeine is so euphoric especially when paired with music, I like it more then anything else, sorry if this is the dumbest post ever

Please help me. I'm at my wit's end.

Long text inc.

I dislike coffee. I'll start there. So it's not an option for me.

I work overnights. I have two young boys, whom I love, that I want to be fully present for. For my first born I was able to swing it but as I'm getting older I realize I am grouchy or just plain unable to be present to play with my second born.

I never drank caffeine to stay up until about 3 years ago (I'm 41) but i can't seem to find a way to take caffeine without some downside.

  1. monster energy drink full sugar - half a can of this is my best bet. it makes me alert and awake without being anxious, heart pounding, annoyed. the downside is i really dont like how bad it is for me.

  2. monster energy drink 0 sugar - doesnt wake me up much. leaves me grouchy and my eyes remain sore.

  3. coffee black, with oil, salt, bitter rinds, every which way - no thank you

  4. caffeine pills 100mg - gives me anxiety, heart feels throbby, im quick to get angry .. maybe heightened aggression is more apt description

  5. caffeine pills 200mg - same thing.

  6. 5 hr energy shots - the worst. my heart feels like its gonna thump out of my chest. doesnt wake me up. makes me aggressive and irritable towards my kids

i've tried mixing the pills in water, juice, seltzer, ive tried having it with fruit. it all just leads to the same effects of having the caffeine pills alone. is there a way to slow down my bodies usage of the caffeine into a slow long release? any long time caffeine takers have any tips? or am i doomed to miss my second borns childhood because i picked a terrible job? i am looking to switch jobs as we speak but if it doesnt pan out i want to try to figure out a way to take caffeine without the irritation and aggression.

thank you for reading this far if you have.

Caffeine withdrawal is insane.

Ever since I was in 3rd grade I’ve been drinking coffee as an alternative to tea since I hate tea. I’m now in college. To develop better health and stuff I realised that coffee was literally ruining my sleep schedule, so I decided to stop drinking coffee. I didn’t know that this would lead me into feeling sleepy at all times. Before this I used to easily pull all-nighters , felt energetic and never really felt sleepy. After this decision I’ve been going to sleep by 8pm and waking up by 10-11am. This messed me up. I’ve now been back on caffeine but once a day. If anyone has suggestions on going through with stopping coffee lmk it would be helpful.

21M I’ve been drinking caffeine every morning for about 5 years now. I’m on day 3 of my reset- my heart rate when sitting down is usually between 60-70, and it’s now 80-100. Also, the sleep scores have never been worse. Has anyone else experienced this?

Healthiest high-dose caffeine source longterm?

I have a condition that causes chronic fatigue, my doctors and I have just about run out of treatments to try. However, I figured out that high doses of caffeine (2-3 Celcius, so like 500-750ish mg) let me think clearly and feel like a person for a couple hours. Definitely not a cure but would give me a lot more time in a day that I currently have. But, I also can’t really afford to develop any more medical issues.

Is there a particular way of getting that much caffeine (coffee, pills, those little bottle thingies) that’s considered “safest/healthiest” long term? Thanks :)

(edit for spelling)

Caffeine stopping overthinking and negative thoughts whilst also making me more motivated?

It might be placebo who knows but I've started drinking Celsius Live Fit and yesterday I just felt I had to do something other than sit in my room all day and just watch YouTube and do nothing so I went outside and I revised for about 2 hours and then cleaned my room which I was putting of for whoever knows how long. This morning I wasn't feeling great mentally so I had a Celsius and I just feel better in myself I'm not overthinking things like I usually do. Does this happen with anyone else?

What should I drink before my exam?

I have an exam coming up and I’m looking for something that can help maximize my energy, focus, and mental sharpness during the test. I tried taking a 200 mg caffeine pill during a study session, but I still ended up feeling just as tired as usual. After doing research, I learned that caffeine doesn’t actually create energy. It just reduces the tiredness.Because of that, I was wondering if anyone can recommend an energy drink that provides a combination of actual fuel and caffeine to help sustain focus and mental edge during my exam.

Right now I’m considering using a 5-hour Energy along with Gatorade and L-theanine. Does that sound effective, or are there better options for my situation?

Has Anyone Else Experienced Energy Drink Withdrawal?

It’s taking everything in me not to go to the store and buy an energy drink. I’ve been drinking one or two every day for years, and I’m trying to quit, but it’s not easy. My body keeps telling me I need it.

The question is: why the hell would someone snort caffeine? It just blocks adenosine, there should not be any euphoria. Just an energy rush.

The question is a tricky one, because I just snorted some crushed caffeine pills for some reason. It wasnt much, just something around 30-50 mg. My heart started beating a lot faster, Im pretty sure it was caused by the fact I was snorting something for the first time in my life and not because of the fact I ate 300mg 3 hours later and then polished it with 40 mg sniffed. Long story short, there was no heart attack and I had to clean my nostrils (not a pleasant experiense). Dont do this, its really shitty and not worth it at all

What have your experiences with caffeine pills been like?

I tried 100 mg of caffeine with L-theanine for the first time today. I think it helped a little with focus, but I honestly didn’t feel nearly as energized as I expected based on what I’ve heard from other people.

The main reason I’m trying them is because I have an important exam coming up and I’m looking for something that can help with focus and energy. I’ve also been considering trying 5 hour Energy with L-theanine.

For those who’ve experimented with this stuff before, what worked best for you?

Curious if anyone has had a good experience with using a nasal spray with caffeine? I have tried the caffeine pouches and was preoccupied with the texture of it in my mouth once it became saturated; I thought it was kinda gross.
