Is this normal& re-pot?

So my dad passed back in February, and this is 1 of his plants from the visitation. So I really, really want to keep this alive. I have a few questions, seeing as I have never had a Bromeliad before. (Pictures are from most current back to the end of March-ish.)

#1 should I repot this? She's right at 30"+ tall from base to top.

It was in a basket with 3 individual potting pots of the same size, so i guess that's what kept it upright? 1 was this, 1 was a corn plant, and 1 was an ivy? Not sure, my aunt took that one. Anywho, I kept it in the same plastic potting pot but stuck it in a ceramic pot I have at home. However, this plant is so top heavy I have to keep it leaned against something or it'll fall over.

#2 when watering, I just set it outside in the rain & bring it back in my sunroom. All the inside leaves, all the way through the center get filled with water. It's that ok? I take it out of the ceramic pot when it gets watered, so it's not just soaking.

#3 it's not looking as red anymore, it's this normal? Also what's growing inside between the colored leaves? Flower part?

My mother Bromeliad Vriesea Kokedama is dying but a pup just fell off…

So we purchased a Bromeliad Kokedama around 3 months ago. I realize now this was probably not the best kind of pant to get in a Kokedama…being that it was already flowered and now I find out the mother dies shortly after. It does have several pups though.

The flower is now brown and dwindling. The mother has begun to slide left and seems kind of loose. I currently have it in my coffee table and we are watching TV, well one of the larger pups just plopped off the mother and fell to the coffee table.

So here I am wondering, what now? How can I transplant the pup when it just fell off like that? It seems to look healthy. Everything I read says to let it dry out for 1-2 days and then put it in a well drained soil like cactus or orchid.

What do I do with the Kokedama now that it seems like the mother may plop off soon too?! Is the Kokedama now done?

Any of you experts out there able to see what’s going on, and can offer some advice please? 🙏🏽

Don’t mind the extra moss hanging out, that is not part of the bowl. It is fake moss that I put around the bowl only a couple of days ago to fill the bowl a little bit.

The pictures are of the pup and the dried area one by the ball is where it fell out of… the rest of the pics are of the overall Kokedama and of some of the other pups on it.

Thank you so much for your help!

Is there any sun friendly bromeliad?

I bought two bromeliads over the weekend and placed them in a front bed that only gets morning sun. But then again, it's Florida, and apparently it's too much for them as they are yellowing after days. It's so sad because they look absolutely gorgeous and that spot fits them so well. I would love to keep bromeliads there and maybe move these to a shadier spot, but I'm not finding any that tolerate sun. Any suggestions?

Some beautiful Bromeliads growing in gardens I've visited in Costa Rica.

Bears eat Bromeliads

Who knew? I’m in Florida. We woke up to two bear cubs chowing down. Unfortunately one of my bromeliads has not recovered from the abuse. Luckily we haven’t seen Yogi and his brother since.

Is my bromeliad growing correctly?

Is the main plant supposed to curl while it blooms?

It also has some pups growing but no leaves for them to be covered by

When to separate?

Hello, this is my first bromeliad. It has a pup growing out of the side at the moment. When is it time to separate?

What is up with my neoregelia lilliputiana?

It’s been doing fine for 9 months, I saw this yellow tip leaf, is it because it’s sprouting a pup and it’s using energy from the leaf?

Bromeliad not growing

I have this broneliad in my office for about 7 years now. The mother plant was a gift from some colleagues. Once the mother plant fully bloomed shortly after it was gifted to me (it was already half bloomed), I was left with the new plant and the original dried out. The new plant grew to this certain size and just stopped. It is like this about 6 years now. It remains green but otherwise nothing. Why could that be and can I do anything for it?

Glow up

Still no idea what cv this is, but first pics are today after nearly two months in the greenhouse. Last pics are when she first came home.
