I’m all about locally hosted stuff, is there any plans to make a locally hosted server option?

Hello there!

I’m all about self hosting, so will there be plans to make a server I can run? Or maybe a GitHub repo?

Thanks so much :)

[PSA] Technical problems at the moment!

Hi Bliishers!(if that word exists)

You might have noticed that you can’t log in right now, and we know why. We’re experiencing technical difficulties with the login system and encryptions of the keys or something like that… yknow, nerd stuff.

We should be back on feet soon, so meanwhile, go for a walk, take a nap, or relax and take a break while we fix the problem!

Thank you for using Bliish! Your feedback means lot to us small shrimps :]

Curious about federation — has Bliish ever considered it?

Genuine question, not trying to spam or advertise anything — just curious if this has ever come up.

Has Bliish ever considered potentially exploring federation?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ActivityPub

It feels like it could align really well with what bliish is already going for — no algorithms, no ads, people-first social media. The Fediverse is kind of built on that same philosophy.

Some resources if anyone wants to dig in:

What is the Fediverse?: https://fediverse.info/, good starting overview

fediverse.party: https://fediverse.party/ directory of federated platforms

ActivityPub spec: https://activitypub.rocks/, the open protocol that ties it all together

Guide for new ActivityPub implementers: https://socialhub.activitypub.rocks/t/guide-for-new-activitypub-implementers/479, practical starting point for devs

Fedify: https://fedify.dev/, a framework that makes implementing ActivityPub a lot less painful

r/Fediverse: active community if you want to ask questions or get feedback

Would love to hear if this is something on the roadmap, or even just whether the community here would want it.
