I GOT A FLASHED PC GPU IN MY G4!!!

it’s a Radeon 9100 using a modified bios

i was so scared during the flashing process but it all went fine and now it works!!!

oddly enough its rom chip was already 128kb instead of the normal 64k, so I didn’t have to strip down the rom at all or solder!!!

ok so i just got home and decided to just unplug the cards from the g4 and remove the pram battery, and what do you know, it boots from HDD first try XD

also apparently it’s a DA g4 and not a GE, so that’s cool :D

still unsure which card was messing with it tho

so I just bought a power Mac g4 (Gigabit Ethernet 466)

but on boot I just get this open firmware SPEW of just nonsense

can someone tell me what’s happening 😭😭😭

is it something as dumb as the pram or a cooked HDD/install

or something as shitty as open firmware corruption

if you also need to know, it’s got a scsi card, a 5 port usb hub card, and a secondary IDE controller card
