I'm looking for a fast or medium burn, high-heat, poly romance with a Black FMC (no white FMCs) with swords crossing. I prefer the FMC to be in her 30s though late 20s is fine. Of course, no young adult or anyone younger than 20.

Some books I've read or started are: Right side of paradise by Shon, Buried beneath sin by MT Addams, Nothing between us by Roni Loren, escorting the yakuza by Melverna McFarlane, Power of Lies by Auryn Hadley, and Road Trip by Addison Arrowdell.

Bonus if there's DVP or exhibitionism/voyeurism! Even bigger if any of the men have pierced dicks!!

I have no one to tell this experience I had today so thought I would write it out. Do you ever find yourself in a situation and say this could literally be a scene in a book?! Today I came out of my house and saw a van parked in front of my house. I thought they were throwing trash in front of my house so I had an attitude. Three guys, just finished a hard days work were parked and packing up. They looked at me and said they didn't throw the trash on the floor, one guy offered to put it in my trash bin and I said sure that is fine thank you. Somehow we were bantering back and forth, they asked if I was Jamaican and I said no, but Jamaican at heart and he was like we are all from Africa and it came up they wanted water to wash their hands. I offered to get them some. I came back with a pitcher of water, some dish soap and paper towels. As I poured soap on their hands and the water, the leader of their group kept praising me, I know you are married, I can tell you are a good wife, a beautiful girl like you I know someone has definitely snatched you up. You are taking care of us so well. I didn't say anything because I was just focused on washing each of the men's hands. They told me they are plumbers and I said oh I feel like I need a plumber, I own an old house there are always plumbing issues and he is like I will see you soon. They thanked me over and over again and drove off. Afterwards I was like that felt very intimate. I really was just trying to be friendly but thought to myself do I have a praise kink?! Anyways I don't even know if this is interesting but just had to tell someone.

New to this sub and I'm curious how everyone feels about buying books and then having to join the authors Patreon in order to get an epilogue to the story and whatever else competes the story. I understand that authors need to make money however as someone outside the US, it's honestly costly to buy a book and then realize it's incomplete and then you have to pay another amount in order to finish.

Edit: The author I'm talking about is Theodora Taylor and while most of the books are somewhat completed. The books have chapters excluded that I.m.o round the story up perfectly and makes it feel less incomplete. I love her books however reading the newer and knowing there's more to the story is turning me off a little.

Clean recommendations

I really want to find mild or little to no spice books with a black fmc and a black mmc (li). If there are any fantasy that are enemies to lovers let me know but any romance (mostly enemies to lovers) would be great. I’m open to other tropes though just any really good clean romance or Romantasy.

Quiet Black Fmc

Hello! I’m on the lookout for book romance recommendations featuring a Black female main character who is an introvert and prefers to stay low-key. I'd love to hear your suggestions!

Rich FMC, normal MMC?

For this request id prefer they'd be both black.

Also that she's dominant inside and outside the bedroom. He's also a nerd. Bonus if she's a crime boss or something.

Thanks!!

Recommendations

For those who have read this book, “My Muted Love by Love Belvin”, I’m looking for more romance books with similar themes. (Two main characters from different backgrounds, with tension and some drama.

LF an unloved MMC and an FMC who has all the love to give to him

I’m new to this subreddit, literally had no idea that this was a thing so needless to say, I am fucking ecstatic. I’m looking for what my title states…an unwanted, vulnerable or just lonely, sweet but gruff, MMC who’s never truly been loved and an FMC who is confident, independent and just bursting with love and wants him instantly, so insta-love on her end I guess ? I want him to be quietly/secretly obsessed though and thinking that he doesn’t deserve her when in reality…he does. Nothing super dark please and please no extreme black boy trauma. There’s enough of that in real life, I don’t want to read about it too. I have no black romances to compare it to so hopefully I get some recs to start me on my journey.

Please no cheating, poly, HR.

I like CR, HR, Fantasy, prefer M/F pairing but open to others as long as it has what I’m looking for. Also no crazy age gaps over 10 years. Thank you 🫶🏾

Romance between characters who are 28 and 23 normal or a negative light?

I wonder as is this a normal age difference no one would care about in universe or would peers of both parties be suspect

for example does the older person come across as dating that young as they can't get women their age so should they be portrayed in a negative light? Like being seen as a manchild/loser/bum etc

honestly what's the most realistic way to depict this romance and how would readers feel about this sort of relationship?
