So hi, my friend just opened a new shop called Dezato, and they’ve got some really exciting stuff like pancakes and multigrain pop bowls.
If you ask me what’s the best, I’d definitely say go for the pancakes. They’re not overly sweet, taste really good, and feel super balanced. But if you’re someone who loves sweet treats and doesn’t mind extra sweetness, then you should definitely try the pop bowls too.
The shop is near the Waffelo cart, so if you’re around there, give it a try ✨

I tried the Chicken Biryani of New Sher E Punjab restaurant and loved it but really want to try some other options too..... Ab aisi stage pe hu ke mujhse kam umr ke log mujhe kehte hain ki ab aapki shaadi ki umar ho chali hai etc. etc. Lekin vo ye bhool jaate ki aage aane vaale vakt mein vo bhi isi age pe aaynge air life kisi k liye ek jaisi nahi hoti.

1. Hard to find people to work - seeing so many ads for “sales job” outside a showroom.

2. Subtle or screaming division - went to a restaurant where the board said “kripya waiter se unki jaat, gaon, ya naam na puchein” , “jute beshak ander le aye lekin jaat paat etc bahar chod ke ayein”.

3. Everyone deserves respect and if not treated well people don’t give second chance to disrespect them. They will simply exit.

4. The traditional poshak some woman wear is one of the most beautiful work of art I have seen.

5. Love the ghoonghat culture from 10am to 6pm - men, woman, old, young everyone does ghoonghat for the sun. 🌞

6. Very welcoming but at the same time this happened.
   Went to a local famous restaurant the other day at 10pm. Asked them what time do they close. They said 11. At 10:30 they asked us for any last order, we ordered roti. Roti arrived at 10:40 and from 10:45 one by one people started telling us to eat fast and go they have to close. Not just the waiter but also the owner. Who came and said “bhai jaldi khao humko Jana hai. We are were like what happened to “atithi devo bhawa” bhaiya!!!
   Anyway we hurried up and left with good in our mouth still chewing it and lemonade in our hands.
   Never felt so welcomed at any restaurant ever. 😆

7. The city feels safe. No chaprees ✅ no eve teasing. Once I took e-rickshaw and 2 people were riding a bike at a speed of the rikshaw. I noticed for 3-4 minutes and then told the rikshaw wala bhaiya ji that these people are driving next to us from a long time. The way that bhaiya looked at those two people 💅🏻🥳 maza aagaya. They disappeared in seconds.

8. Those who treat everyone with kindness are treated with kindness. Those who don’t are simply ignored. 👏

9. Family friendly vibes, helpful people (ofcourse some people are different- I will simply blame that on the weather between 10am to 6pm 🤓)

I was walking through Bada bazzar in Kolkata…

and suddenly it didn’t feel like Kolkata anymore.

- Marwari being spoken everywhere
- Shops selling the same things you find in Bikaner
- Same bargaining style, same business vibe

For a moment, I genuinely felt like I was back home. Marwari families have run a huge part of that area for generations.

It’s crazy how one community has carried its culture across cities like this. Not just Kolkata, it is the same story in Sahukar Pait of Chennai.

Have you guys experienced something like this in any other cities of India too - where Bikaneris dominate the culture of suburb?
