As bakudeku shippers, we know how queer baity the story is written. The fact that the story was written to bring us here is not up for debate. But, across the discourse of ship wars in MHA I see so many arguments that say things like "they're obviously sibling coded" or "they're just friends" and what have you. Again, we know that if they wanted us to think that, there are things they could have done, but they didn't. But I always see bkdk fans arguing back with things that we consider romantic. So I'm curious, if you were writing the story, what would you add to the story to deromanticize bkdk? I'll go first:
In Deku vs Kacchan pt 1, Uraraka asks Deku if Bakugo is the one who makes fun of him. He says "he's amazing". I'd have him say, "he's like an older sibling I'll never live up to" or something like that.
Instead of "give him back!", I'd have him say "return our friends/classmates!"
Instead of "Kacchan and the others", he'd say "my class, our friends"
When Kirishima asks about their history, Bakugo could say something like "pshh he's like an annoying little brother I never wanted"
When Deku calls Katsuki "Kacchan", he says "Quit calling me that Deku! We're not in kindergarten anymore!"
These are just some examples I have personally. I'm one of those people that believe the subtext is part of the text intentionally, and that if they didn't want us to read it as romantic, there are ways to do it that don't harm the bond between them or the integrity of the story. I mean if either of them referred to the other as "bro" even once, but no. They didn't want us to think they were bros. They were Deku and Kacchan🧡💚❤️🔥
Basically the villain can shrink or grow things to mildly inconvenience others so for example, if you want a grape and ask them to use their quirk then the grape would either shrink to so small you can barely see it or grow so big it'll be almost impossible or at least pretty hard to eat it lol, so in this case bakugous car shrunk to a size where he wont be squished to death but hell just be stuck and cant get out without help lollz

I am looking for a fanfic that i read a while ago where izuku is bakugou’s dragon and, on Bakugou’s 18th birthday, turns into a human boy who is unidentified in their town and he is slowly taught the ways of normal life
OKAY SO this is what I remember from the fic, I guess it was explicit and I don't know which site it was on but it was basically Actor Izuku x Civillian/Fan Bakugo.
They run into each other while Izuku is running away from the Paparazzi and other fans. So there's a scene where Bakugo is about to yell bcuz OBV AN ACTOR JUST RAN INTO YOU but Izuku shushes him up and then some time later Bakugo ends up doing a photoshoot with Izuku, and they do all couple poses type shit, that's where during the ending of the chapter Izuku is close to him cuz of the position and he whispers "Can I kiss you?".
Bakugo has some weird shit going on and he thinks Izuku doesn't actually want him so he leaves him and runs away, doesn't come back to Izuku's house, and so Ochako or someone who is Izuku's...Idk maid? Bodyguard? P.A.? Basically they lie to Bakugo that Izuku is sick and so he goes back panicking and then they tell him he's in that room and so Bakugo goes and then they lock the door. Then Izuku comes out and it's them having a moment.
Then they get together blah blah and it's about time they're ready to do the deed but Bakugo is a v!rg!n, he teases Izuku and I remember Izuku going like "...you fucking tease..." and then it's just them playing and then they do da deed and yeah that's all I remember.
