People say Ubisoft doesn’t make good games anymore but this is a masterpiece has so good visuals and i play on xbox, i agree that the parkour is a bit slept on in the sense of not beeing used as much but the stealth is amazing and the detail… just go to a house in a big city and look at the markets and inside the houses its packed with details and its historically accurate. Love this game!
Am I the only one who thinks that he had one of the best premises in the franchise history? Think about that, a Kenyan slave who's captured by the colonized (also got his wife killed by them) has been bought (or saved?) by a Japanese master. He never knew such a land exists. Now, the people of Japan treats him with respect so that he has to make some of the most complex decisions a man can ever make and teams up with the Japanese to free the land from tyranny. This premise is inarguably 100 times better than the same old revenge/save my people trope. But unfortunately the grifters and Ubisoft ruined it for me.
I’ve recently picked Shadows and I’m obsessed. It actually feels like I’m playing an Assassins creed game again. Movement is amazing, the world is beautiful, the combat is fun, story is alright, and the stealth is incredible.
Im constantly seeing people absolute crap on the game like it’s the worst in the series but I’m just struggling to believe it. In my experience with the recent AC’s, Mirage had decent stealth but shocking movement and combat, Valhalla, odyssey and origins just don’t feel like AC games at all. All have fun combat, decent stories (especially origins), but the movement and stealth are average at best. Shadows seems to be the closest we’ve been to Unity movement with some further polishes in certain areas, and some downgrades in other. Similar to Unity, I love how we can pick between pure 100% health or just an absolute tank charging the front gate.
In my opinion, the only thing I’m not 100% about in Shadows is the base building, the pacing (sometimes in a level 20 area, there’ll be a level 30 enemy), and the inability to climb or run through some of the dense vegetation areas, oh and the skill tree, that does kinda suck but I appreciate that I can reset perks and redistribute.
(Just for the further context, I’ve played all of them except for 1 for some reason, I’m just talking about the more recent AC’s from unity onwards)
They really make the world feel alive
I just wanted to say I love how much everyone loves these games and how non-judgemental yall are. Coming from COD and Rivals man its a shock how much yall dont rip each other apart. Well aside from the ones found to be templars...
Also my take from playing 3 and rogue back to back is that Shay is honestly weak and the only reason he became so prolific is the help he had - Haytham - and more importantly, the assassins' complacency in their own missions. Unlike but also alike how Connor was a complete violent shock to the templars who had grown greedy, complacent as well, and all-consuming. They do mirror each other but there is no comparison between Shay and Connor. Connor would rip him apart before Shay knew what hit him.
Might stay here for a while before moving to revelations. Any recommendations on what buildings or what places I should buy
So I'm curious about using mods in my pc with certain AC games, the issue is that I can't play every single AC game because I have a gtx960M, for Ac3 remastered I have to deal with certain settings. Is it a bad idea to use mods if even though I can run the games, I can't play all of them in 4k settings?
