Who are your greatest Theologians?

In the Christian tradition we have philosopher theologians Aquinas and others who have systematized the faith and in doctrines. Which theologians have done something similar for Islam if any?

ChatGPT listed the following. Which would be someone of comparible influence and who perhaps also uses philosophical methods or reason?

Al-Ghazali
Ibn Rushdi
Ibn Sina
And Fakhr al-Din al-Razi

Why is fashion/self expression seen as sinful?

I want to know what fellow muslims think.

Modesty is in the way we dress and covering our aura is part of modesty.

But why is it that when a woman dresses well, expresses her style in a halal way, there seems to be negative labels put on her?

I've lived long enough to see even slight self-expression (colored clothing, patterns, graphic tees, simple jewelry) being equated to sinning.

It made me wonder, is does faith=self erasure?

Im asking more for people's PERSONAL OPINIONS, NOT Islamic advice or scholarly information. Only personal perception.

Im so curious to know what everyone thinks♡

Asking for ID

Hi, I work in retail and we annually have to complete a training course on the "Think 25" procedure, one of the questions we have is "Can you ask someone who wears a religious head covering to remove it", obviously the answer to that is no.

We often get customers in who wear hijabs which isnt an issue but I was curious to know what I would be expected to do if someone wearing a niqab or a burqa for example came in wanting to buy a cutlery set, it's age restricted at 18 but how am I able to confirm if the person wearing it is of age?

I want to stay respectful but also I still have to think about the legal side of my job. How should I approach the situation should it arise? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
