my first gen SE watched got retired yesterday 😂
I'm in the AWU club now 🤗
Okay so I know the Ultra gets hyped a lot and I was always the guy rolling my eyes like "it's just a bigger watch calm down" but I get it now. I fully get it.
Coming from the SE the battery difference alone is just embarrassing. I was the person who charged every single night without fail, sometimes mid-day if I forgot. Now I'm just… not thinking about it. Like at all. Went three days recently and still had juice left. That alone was worth it for me.
The screen is absurdly bright outdoors. Didn't realize how much I was squinting at my SE in direct sunlight until I stopped having to do it.
It's chunky, yes. People will tell you it's chunky. It is chunky. I have average sized wrists and I genuinely don't care anymore because it just feels solid in a way the SE never did. Less toy, more instrument if that makes sense.
The action button is lowkey one of my favorite things about it. Sounds minor but having a physical customizable button is so useful day to day.
Only gripe is I now notice how mid my strap game is and I'm about to spend way too much on bands so thanks for that Ultra
Being in the hospital and on high dose steroids does not make for a good night of sleep.
Hey everyone, has anyone else been dealing with inconsistent heart rate tracking on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 during runs?
Whenever I start a run (literally any time — I can’t figure out what triggers it), the watch just shows “no heart rate” or completely skips tracking for the first 3–5 minutes. It feels like it’s sitting there waiting to lock onto the signal before it finally kicks in. After that it’s usually fine, but it means the first part of every activity is missing heart rate data, which messes up my pace/effort zones and overall stats.
This never happened on my old Garmin Fenix 7 — it would pick up HR almost instantly. Super frustrating coming from that.
Anyone else experiencing the same thing on the Ultra 2? Have you found any fixes, settings tweaks, or workarounds that actually help? Would love to hear what’s worked for you. Thanks!
I have been absolutely in awe of the AWU3. I originally bought the S11 but I’m thinking of returning it as the AWU3 is on sale and seems like a great watch. What are some benefits in personal use that really push this watch past the S11?
Hey guys
Is there a way to create custom workouts
Lets say I’m doing something like this:
8 rounds
2 min rowing
70 rope jump
2 min biking
Can i create a mode that includes those activities?
I use to be able to do it with my suunto but i dont know if i can do it with my ultra 3
