Finally pulled the trigger on the Ultra 2 after years on the SE
Okay so I know the Ultra gets hyped a lot and I was always the guy rolling my eyes like "it's just a bigger watch calm down" but I get it now. I fully get it.
Coming from the SE the battery difference alone is just embarrassing. I was the person who charged every single night without fail, sometimes mid-day if I forgot. Now I'm just… not thinking about it. Like at all. Went three days recently and still had juice left. That alone was worth it for me.
The screen is absurdly bright outdoors. Didn't realize how much I was squinting at my SE in direct sunlight until I stopped having to do it.
It's chunky, yes. People will tell you it's chunky. It is chunky. I have average sized wrists and I genuinely don't care anymore because it just feels solid in a way the SE never did. Less toy, more instrument if that makes sense.
The action button is lowkey one of my favorite things about it. Sounds minor but having a physical customizable button is so useful day to day.
Only gripe is I now notice how mid my strap game is and I'm about to spend way too much on bands so thanks for that Ultra
