Which comic super villain would make the best analog horror monster?

I also might add, let’s say that the character can’t change a whole ton from the normal continuity of the characters. Anything can be a half assed analog horror with enough changes, just look at the Batman and spider-man analog horror.

First time here

Hey! first time here I am brand new to joining the analog horror sub refit. I mainly joined to get people’s opinion on this picture I made for an analog horror (I’m hoping to make.) I am still working on everything though

"You can't let the little pricks generation-gap you" - William Gibson, Neuromancer

Hey all; I’ve been working on a few projects for a few years now and I’m still looking to develop/join both a filmmaking community and an audience.

Now, a few notes: we’ve got these categories like “analog horror” and “alternate reality game” and I’m not sure if my work fits neatly into those. It’s “unfiction” as much as anything. There’s analog elements, but sometimes the story is as much comedy as it is horror. And there’s elements to “discover” but it’s not like there’s riddles to solve like in many traditional ARGs.

Then there’s age. One of the weirdest elements of finding an online community/audience is that often I find reddits or even discords to check out, only to quickly discover that I’m old enough to be most members’ father.

Hey, I like being a middle-aged experimental film maker, but some of these online communities are so thick with teens and pre-teens that I start to feel like the old creep hanging out at the kiddie pool. Not to mention how fun it is to be critiqued by people younger than my computer, let alone people younger than the Blair Witch Project.

(No offence to young creators - I love seeing young folks developing wild ideas, and am often blown away by how professional & creative they can be. I just don’t always want to talk about life with people decades younger than myself.)

I want to talk about my processes. I want to find people who enjoy engaging with the sort of material I’m making.

But sometimes, despite being chronically online since 1995, I still feel like I’m missing out a sense of community that’d maybe alleviate some of the solitude I feel working/filming/editing/posting all alone.

So where are all the cool old experimental digital film-makers hanging out?

And where do y’all go to share your work with others, aside from this space here?
