Managing GUI/menu access while using a wheel

Curious for ideas on how others handle this. I finally got my Moza r5 setup up and running and mounted to a truck stand.

Loving the wheel and setup! The only thing is, I find it is a little cumbersome to access the game GUI and menus. The stand has me sitting farther back from the desk so it's awkward to reach my keyboard and mouse.

Do you guys just set the keyboard and mouse to the side or is there a more elegant and pleasant way to do this?

I find it's the biggest thing I miss compared to using a controller-- with a controller navigating menus is a breeze as you have the L and R buttons along with right-stick acting as cursor movement.

Maine Map Concept - Update #1 (Still open for suggestions)

NOTE TO SELF! - This is NOT A Mod or WIP Mod for ATS, This is simply a map concept for Maine. PLEASE! If you are from Maine and think I should add something to the map (Missing Photo Trophies, Viewpoints, Monuments, Landmarks, Depots, Factories, Manufacturing Centers, ECT.) PLEASE TELL ME!!! I am willing to still be updating this map for you guys! (I know its just a map and not an actual mod, but I want to be able to add stuff for more realism because, as I said, I am not from Maine.) I would like to be able to improve on my images, I'm only a teen doing this in my free time out of love for ATS and SCS Software as a Studio.

THINGS ADDED/CHANGED -

Added a new labeled area - The Northern Maine Woods that have lumber mills and log stations. It is a labeled area however, it has no fast travel/garages, just depots.

You might notice some new Tree Icons, these are entry points into the Woodlands. These can only be accessed if you have a log trailer/are going pick up a logging trailer. You will need to pay a toll to enter.

Hello All!
As someone who is a passionate ATS Fan and really cannot wait for more states to be added into ATS, I have decided on a new project of mapping (most) of the United States in the ATS Style, with roads being 1/20th scale and Cities/Towns being a 1/3rd scale, I plan to do this with states currently that are not Announced.
I have decided to change things up a little, after doing North Dakota and Mississippi, I wanted to start on states that would be added way later into ATS' lifecycle of map development. States on the East Coast, Essentially, I want my concepts to remain relevant for a bit longer, considering it will likely take a good amount of time for SCS to reach Maine.
Their are 10 Cities Included in this Map.
Augusta
Portland
Rumford
Rockland
Bangor
Greenville
Machias
Houlton
Presque Isle
Fort Kent
Northern Maine Woods
I also factored in Cities that are not labeled on the map such as
Lewiston
Brunswick
Ellsworth
Calais
Ashland
Dover-Foxcroft
I do not really know if more marked cities would work, specially Lewiston and Brunswick because I don't want to make the map too crowded. I might add Bar Harbor in the next update after a few days.
I do not yet have any Viewpoints, Photo Trophies, or garages marked yet (I will save that for viewer feedback and more).
I have changed how the cities and depot layouts are from my previous 2 states, For ND and Mississippi, I would use scaled up (from 1/20th to 1/3rd) satelitle images to use for city and depot layouts. Now depots and roads around them are made to 1-1 scale (This is why they pop out more in game and on this concept map)
Their are NO Gas Stations or Rest Stations Marked (Remember, its just a map, I am not adding EVERY Location that relates to game mechanics.)
Anyway, hope you guys/girls enjoy and Please do leave feedback! I greatly appreciate and enjoy communicating with people on project I am working!
Enjoy, Have a Good Day/Night - Myles.

Advantages of the KW W900?

So I own the W900 now (Jon Ruda's). I really love the look, but I'm having a hard time getting used to the feel. The turning radius feels like I'm driving a boat.

I know this is a well loved truck, and I figure I'm just inexperienced here, so I wanted to ask.

What are the big advantages and appeal of the truck and how can I get the most out of it? Compared to the small K100 cabover I've been using it feels like a totally different experience. Which is not a bad thing but I'm struggling.

Are there particular engine, transmission, chassis, etc setups I should work towards in the W900 to make it smoother? Or would an alternative truck perhaps be a choice to consider? I admittedly know almost nothing about trucks yet, or their engines, or the mechanics, but I'm willing to learn and experiment. Just don't want to flail around in the dark completely.

Thanks for any insight. Any and all ideas are welcome.

Photo waypoints that appear inaccessible?

Hi all- I've stared to pay attention to collecting Photo and PoI's on my routes where possible.

However I've noticed that some of them seem to be off the road in "no man's land" space. The nodes are noticably off in empty territory by a short distance, but there will appear to be no actual road that can access it.

or it will be in some obviously walled off area where the glowing arrows prevent you from crossing into.

What's the deal with this? Not sure what I'm missing. Thanks!

ISO mod

Hey, gang. I'm wondering if there's a mod for wind in ATS. I've driven IRL Wyoming and the Rockies many times and let me tell you the winds can be brutal. It would be interesting if there was a mod to simulate them in the game.

Is the international 9900i worth trading in for the 389 or w900?

relatively new to the game, bought the international from the used market and realized i could trade it in for a kenworth or peterbuilt. I like the 389 and w900 but i have a soft spot for international trucks for some reason so im wondering if its worth it to trade in or save up to buy one as a second truck
